And Tom Loy just flipped his Crystal Ball for Brown to Notre Dame this morning...
Erik Brown's Crystal Ball Predictions

I posted it in Brown's thread, but Loy is hearing that Denbrock and Brown are still in frequent contact and Brown has no problem staying committed to Cal for the time being and waiting to see if a spot opens up in our class. If a spot does open up, Loy expects him to be Irish.

not busy at the moment so i figured I'll do my part..

-ISD doesn't think the loss of Martin and Diaco will have much effect on the recruiting class. Diaco never enjoyed recruiting so it shouldn't have a big impact. Loss of Elston would be somewhat impactful, but in the end, most likely minimal.

-Yeargin still seems to be solid but who really knows.

-As far as weekend visitors go, ISD sees at least 2 of the 3 uncommitted targets signing in Feb. All three could committ this weekend or none. I think Sykes pops and we wait on the other 2. Just my opinion.

-Sykes is friends with Morgan, as previously mentioned, and really likes the idea of them playing together on the next level. In the end, I think they do.

-Watkins working hard on Hendrix. Look for him to commit to a school by the end of December.

-We would be in the race for Marcus Griffin down the line if we show renewed interest sometime soon.

-Erik Brown is solid to Cal and is shutting it down.

Loy said yesterday that Diaco, for some reason he didn't know, was the one who wasn't very high on Griffin. I found that interesting because now that he's gone I really hope they go after him. I watch his tape and I see a BCS level NT.

Huh, interesting.

I wonder if he is a backup plan to Elam. Elam is supposed to announce January 4, I believe, so we would still have time to get into it with Griffin.

The worst part of today's Intel is that they said their source deep in ND's program said the coaches are currently figuring out how to run the ball against the Rutgers stout front 7. Said we can beat their secondary and we could be slinging it all over the place - in bad weather nonetheless.

Plenty of time to get ready for them. We are way more talented them and it will show. Everyone will be nice and rested up.

I hope that is just a bunch of bologna.

We played three of the top 10 rushing defenses (BYU/#2, Stan/#5 & MSU/#8) and averaged 147 rushing yards per game.

It's ridiculous to think that we cant run the ball against Rutgers. They might have the #6 rushing defense, but they play in the freaking AAC. We should be able to run the ball just as well against them as the other top 10 rushD teams.

Temple rushed for 119 on them...

Right. I'm hoping it's not too difficult to figure out. But hearing that we may rely on exposing the secondary to beat Rutgers is not something I am comfortable with. Plenty of time though.

Nothing groundbreaking. Most illuminating comment is the one on Nelson that Lax reported.

They also think we are sitting really well with Morgan. They also think we have a decent shot at Juju, but agree he is probably leaning USC right now. Thinks Quick is 50/50, and that ND leads for Hendrix. Schultz is out now as we won't take 3 TEs.

The rest is projections on the defensive guys committed. Dickerson is a pure inside guy, Hayes will be a swing guy, Trumbetti will probably start as a pass rusher that grows into a DE (they love him as a player and person - potential future captain). Bonner and Blankenship are two others that they expect to grow into DEs.

Jhonny Williams could play either, but most likely a pass rushing CAT. They think he is 6'4.5, not 6'6. Yeargin is another pass rusher, who they think could be special. They loved Kolin Hill's personality this weekend, and really love his long arms, athleticism and effort. They were also really pleased with how Sykes looked when he showed up. Another kid who they liked his personality.

I love hearing stuff like this. Its easy to be a fan when the kids your cheering for are good young men. Thanks for posting.

I got it..

Don't expect any commitments before the end of December. Coaching staff wants to wait until after the bowl game to see where Tuitt stands. After that, the allstar games will be upon us and ISD is very confident with Morgan. Outright leader but things can obviously change.
McKenzie still has grade issues in addition to the lack of test score. I will be shocked if he gets in but what do I know? This would probably open the door for Nelson. Visiting USC in Jan but ISD doubts he is a take for them at this point. We will probably be his best option when it comes down to it.

Great write up on Kolin Hill by a guy in Texas they regularly talk with. Says he can't believe he had never heard of the guy and says we got a major steal.

Still a toss up for Quick and Juju as was previously reported. They don't think Juju is the slam dunk to USC everyone thinks he is. Juju is being recruited as an ATH, not just S.

Hendrix looking very good at the moment. Probably a matter of when not if.

Couple of tidbits on 2015 guys.
Calvin Brewton from FL, Alford working hard already. Elite player.
Russell Ude- DE from ATL. ND may be in top 3 and if he gets an offer from any of his top 3, he may jump on it immediately.
Kaumatale also mentioned. He is on NDs radar. Stanford has inside track with his brother there.

If we get Morgan and Hendrix, this is a guaranteed top 6 class IMO. If we get those two and one of Quick/Smith, this class is a slam dunk. Although, I wonder if Hendrix is waiting on pulling the trigger until Smith decides? Maybe he's not worried about PT, but I can see how someone would want to see if they're competing against Redfield and Juju Smith.

I still think Quick favors Oklahoma, and I'm not worried at all about USC (no info), and who knows about Smith. He knows what the best choice is, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
