If I recall correctly it started with Svoboda trying to develop one himself. He tried to draw something based on a football but they looked more like a computer nerds scribbling than artwork. He asked for input from members and got quite a bit. Then Svoboda hired a graphic artist for something like $75 or $150. Various designs, color schemes and fonts were proposed. Each was scrutinized and critiqued by the members. I believe he picked the final designs. There's a thread in the archives on the subject.

I've spruced up the schedule on the front page a little bit and added a kickoff countdown to the gameday console.

BGIF and I think it would be a good idea to widen up IE's pages a bit. What do you guys think ?

I like the kickoff countdown, but I think it should be a little bigger. I didn't even notice it until I read the post about it.

Also, just nit-picky stuff... The fine print at the bottom of the page reads:

All material on this Notre Dame Football site is strictly for entertainment purposes only is strictly for entertainment purposes only.

I think you can remove a portion of that sentence.

I'm with ye/you/ya, brother/brutha/bro/bra (What decade IS this? Am I STILL behind the curve? Damn!) A little proofreading and editing goes a long way --- and makes the site oh-so spiffy and smarty-pants looking ... as is fitting for anything related to Notre Dame.
