Most interesting thing to me [by far] was the question about who Kelly thought would replace Big Mike. It didn't take any hesitation for him to say Davaris Daniels. He then mentioned that Daniel Smith had a chance, but went on to say that it looked like we'd have some outstanding freshmen who could get playing time there too.

Hearing Kelly say Davaris so quickly means to me that he's impressed, and that's good to hear from the Boss.

@ 1:00, how is that a false start on Golic?!?!?! Every center in the country does that before every single snap. That was offside by their DE (which happened quite a few times in the game but was never called).

Those 3rd-down passes to Floyd and Riddick, the complete lack of offense and that horrid interception after our defense came up with a huge turnover... ugh, it's making me sick watching this. (EDIT: Add in Eifert's 3rd-down drop and TJ's unfortunate 3rd-down slip.)

I really don't get everyone around IE that's been saying, "You saw the huge gap between ND and a top-tier program." Bullshit, this game was there for the taking just like the USC game was. The Irish just made so many critical errors when it came to capitalizing and putting points on the board.

So true. Toma is the only go-getter in the WR corps this year. That should have been a catch - since when is the "process of the catch" bs in college? Regardless, having him and hopefully Eifert will help next year as long as one of the young players can at least somewhat fill Floyd's shoes.

And I'm with you, North Buffalo Irish. The only things I will concede to them are an excellent offensive line, and obviously an excellent QB (whom we held in relative check). Other than that, their secondary wasn't impressive, and it was only our O-line's miscues that made their front seven look so good. This team is getting there.
