Like it or not, people have a right to observe and record law enforcement. They can also use their freedom of speech in the public sphere.

When they cross the line, they’re arrested and get their due process. Thus, accountability.

I’ll also point out again, as far as I can tell, these people are upset at the large sweeping raids targeting nonviolent and longtime members of their communities. If the aim were to prioritize those with a criminal background, you know the worst of the worse, I think we wouldn’t be seeing what you’re describing.

Makes me wonder, why the shitty policy? To antagonize these communities and get the desired response??

My parents both voted for Trump. Their small town has a tomato picking / canning facility with illegal migrants who have been there for decades. These families go to their parish.
