I could certainly have fun with this, but I've not been to prison. That seemed rather obvious.

Most people don’t lie about going to prison. Most people also don’t lie about being Metallica fans, either. But here you are.

You have me! I also don't even like the Irish. Critical thought will take you far in life.

Just hanging around here since 2007 for shits and giggles.

@Fbolt when are you gonna tell everyone what crime(s) you committed that sent you to prison for 8 years?

Sarcasm and humor go right over your head sometimes. Did you really not get that he was joking about prison and not get why he made the joke? Go back and read that exchange again. You're the only one on the board who didn't get it.

This is like when you ranted about me a couple of years ago for "bragging" about my Ferrari and $500K guitar, only to have me and several other members point out to you that you'd missed the VERY obvious (at least to the rest of us) context of my Ferrari comment and had never claimed to own one, nor a half mil guitar. You miss a lot of subtlety, context, obvious joking, facetiousness, and sarcasm sometimes.

Nope, I missed it. Just like you took my DM seriously the other day, right? I guess we all miss context clues sometimes. And was it really unreasonable for me to believe that a 70 year old doctor could own a Ferrari? I suppose I’ll have to read a week’s worth of conversations before I chime in next time.

I can laugh at myself easily. I don't take things too seriously, enjoy life, and love to laugh.

And I am a huge Met fan.

And yes, here I am.
You’re a huge Metallica fan, yet you don’t seem to know the song “Seek & Destroy.” Sure, buddy.

This ICE shit is the most amateur thing I have ever seen. Seems no one was trained and just told to arrest brown.

Why any federal dollars go to these cities that blatantly disregard or even aid and abet the breaking of federal immigration laws blows my fucking mind

Ahhh, these blue cities are part of blue states that give said federal government way more said federal dollars than they get back, so I think they can choose to not take an active effort in immigration activities, if they so choose. They're not breaking federal laws, they're just choosing not actively participate, hence the name sanctuary cities.

Sounds like they're abusing the illegal work force to save money rather than pay decent wages to American workers. I thought only farmers did that.

Speaking of which, I love when people puff their chests out when it comes to blue state tax dollars. Money is great, but you can't eat it. You can't directly use it to directly power your cities either. Yes, it can buy you things, but at the end of the day someone still has to grow the food and generate the power. New York has to source 85% of it's food from outside the state, some coming from the south. Over 4/5ths of New York's energy gets imported from Pennsylvania and as far as North Carolina along with sources from Ontario to the north. They're almost entirely reliant on other states to keep them fed and keep them running. States can and do produce things other than tax revenue that are important for the country to function as a whole. It's a give and take, and yes some give more than others in areas, but the one sided tax dollar argument is a bit silly.

Well my point is what you stated here, not one-sided, but symbiotic.
