I will take you at your word there, because jobs like that come with a lot of responsibility and the potential for legit bad shit to happen. The Daniel Shaver (i think his name) video kinda blackpilled me on that. Obviously that's one example and there are many others that don't go viral or anything. I think it's important to also give some grace to people working a job like that.
But ensuring those people have adequate training and stuff like you said could prevent some of those incidents. We live in a giant country with all sorts of problems in different cities, towns, regions, etc. so I don't know how to address it or if its possible but trying to fix issues is always good. That can be attempted at the municipal, county, state, federal level as appropriate. I think the more localized it can be the better. But I'm not opposed to state or federal classes/programs to help those guys and gals to better prepared for things (only so much you can do) or sending them to shrinks or therapists or whatever to help them out.
Tough to balance things at times.
