This post should be grounds for deportation. You guys are legitimately unapologetically anti American or just the most ignorant brainwashed people on the planet. It like a sad comedy. If beating your wife it's grounds for deportation, the first Americans to go should be cops.
No dude, my dad was a cop and would routinely beat my mom, so you can take your high horse and ride off on it. Imagine being 14 years old and you can't call anyone to report what's going on because they're your dad's coworkersThis post should be grounds for deportation. Did we deport an American citizen to El Salvador or an illegal alien? If beating your wife it's grounds for deportation, the first Americans to go should be cops.
I posted hypothetical situation based on what trump has openly spoke about.Did we deport an American citizen to El Salvador or an illegal alien?
Trying to establish which sources of evidence you find to be credible and if that standard is carried across all cases.I mean, do you think her report to the police she made four years is more credible than a statement she released now through her attorney under the threat of her husband being deported?
I mean it’s a case by case basis. At the end of the day I’m some “fucking retard” posting in the political section of a Notre dame football message board, so I don’t think it’s the most important thing to have a judicial system level of evidentiary standard.Trying to establish which sources of evidence you find to be credible and if that standard is carried across all cases.
kk just have seen people on these forums dismiss cases or evidence because of "you can convict a ham sandwich".I mean it’s a case by case basis. Explains a lot. Dad trauma is real. But stop being a victim. Every conversion on this board you are a victim of something. I would never discount someones trauma in life but there comes a point you have to be a grown up and rise above your trauma. I know that’s not Colorado mental health and they will tell your truth is your truth and all that bullshit… but you can’t be rationale adult living in a world of victimhood. No dude, my dad was a cop and would routinely beat my mom, so you can take your high horse and ride off on it. I don't. I never once claimed to be a victim regarding this. Sorry you don't like it but my experiences shaped me and my outlook on life. I grew up around police officers of every race and ethnicity. They're the ones that taught me to do illegal shit. My dad would beat my Mom, chase her and us throughout the house and if we tried to call the police nothing would happen because the people responding were his friends.Explains a lot. This is quite the dilemma. Not sure what the best way to address it is because it is weird to report your spouse/parent to his/her colleagues. At best, it's a weird situation where you investigate a colleague in a job that's very fraternal/high trust. At worst, they ignore it.No dude, my dad was a cop and would routinely beat my mom, so you can take your high horse and ride off on it. Circling back....it's very good to contest traffic violations if you have the time and the fine is high. Here it isn't necessary, a speeding ticket is dirt cheap, basically pays for the time it took the cop to write it up. The real incentive to drive at or around the speed limit is losing points on your drivers license.Oh trust me, I showed up to fight a speeding ticket in a suit to a rural town. The cop thought I was a lawyer and knocked it all the way down to the minimum because "A guy like you needs to get back to work and not be with these losers".
“They taught me to do illegal shit”. You’re still playing victim and you don’t even realize it. Of course your experiences shaped you. You remind us all the time of how it shaped you. I hope at some point you are able to get over your trauma and stop letting your trauma shape you. Imagine if the whole world reacted like you and let their world be shaped by their trauma.I don't. If I come across as a victim because I'm trans, that's because this administration is actively doing things that make me a victim. If you don't like it complain about what's being implemented. But I don't ever think I'm a victim. I was dealt and hand of cards and Ive always played it to the best of my ability. I don't make excuses for any of it. I put my head down and to to work every day and do my best with what I have. But I'm damn sure not a victim and have never once thought that about myself
If you are talking about his suggestion of shipping Americans off, I am with you 100%. We can handle our own criminals just fine. Very unnecessary to even float the idea (unless clearly a joke)I posted hypothetical situation based on what trump has openly spoke about.
Child services. This is quite the dilemma. Not sure what the best way to address it is because it is weird to report your spouse/parent to his/her colleagues. At best, it's a weird situation where you investigate a colleague in a job that's very fraternal/high trust. At worst, they ignore it.
I guess you could put state police or highway patrol in charge? Curious on people's thoughts on this. I am friends with a cop. I'll bring this up next time we chat if I can remember.
It's extremely fucked up. And if it came across as my being completely anti police that's not true. I respect them and I understand how difficult their jobs are. I grew up around some cops that lacked some morals. And had some bad experiences with them when it came to issues regarding race. So I don't inherently trust them. I was being a little bit tongue in check with first post, but only because of the domestic violence situation that hits extremely close to home. This is quite the dilemma. How am I making myself out to be a victim? I think you're missing a lot context because we're on a message board. I'm simply stating that I've been around a decent amount of cops that lack morals.“They taught me to do illegal shit”. You’re still playing victim and you don’t even realize it. I don't think anyone on the board is particularly anti police. No worries. I'm pretty protective of police, like you said, tough job. Plus my cop uncle got murdered/assassinated on the job by an illegal immigrant in Phoenix about 20 years ago. Touchy subject for many. It's extremely fucked up. What kind of law enforcement authority do they have? Interesting concept.Child services.
The context is your counter argument for deporting illegal domestic abusers to deport legal domestic abusers that are cops… an argument based out of your trauma. How am I making myself out to be a victim? No arresting authority but they can remove the child or order the father to be removed at least temporarily. They can also ask the court to press charges that they will almost 100% of time do what child services suggests. What kind of law enforcement authority do they have? Interesting concept.
Also… cops don’t like wife beaters typically. They are more of a liability than anything. What kind of law enforcement authority do they have? Interesting concept.
Sorry for your loss. I'm sorry if I came across as insensitive that was not my intention at allI don't think anyone on the board is particularly anti police. No worries. Not at all.Sorry for your loss. I'm sorry if I came across as insensitive that was not my intention at all
It's based on that decently high percentage of cops beat their wives, and because I experienced it first hand. I've worked thru my trauma regarding it and like I said I don't have any issues with police and respect the work that they doThe context is your counter argument for deporting illegal domestic abusers to deport legal domestic abusers that are cops… an argument based out of your trauma.
