I do a lot of engineering work in south Texas, The scenario is a worst case for those areas. Houston is like New Orleans, it floods whenever it rains. The whole coastal area has subsidence, rising sea level, storm surge, and sustained heavy rainfall. The rivers will flow backwards during this event. Years ago we did work following Ike, the whole Bolivar peninsula east of Galveston was wiped clean. This will be a very ugly result by mid week.
High and dry up here in Dallas, although we will probably get some spin off rain.
