sticking it out until the end.

Win or lose I'll tune in every week.

as I have done since the 1985 season, I will watch every game....other 'NDFootball-related activities' I will be doing less of, but that is a personal choice that I am comfortable with in order to keep my sanity.

It doesn't dominate me like it used to... sports in general. I think losing my pops changed that in me. If things suck with my team(s) I now ask myself, "Why am I bothering with this if it's nothing but depressing???.... Let's just do something else."

I would have never thought that way in years past.

You disgust me, if you root for ND to lose even ONE game. In fact, I am amazed that you would even CONSIDER it. I'd like to see you stand in front of the team in the locker room and try to justify why you rooting for them to lose is in their best interest.

If something like that comment disgusts you, you have some serious issues even Dr. Phil can't fix.

I actually have had the same experience. After losing the man who raised me as an nd fan and took me to my first game (we snuck popcorn and his coffee into the stadium in a backpack so we didnt have to wait in line) the games just dont weigh too much on me anymore. Im sure other life experiences also make you understand that there is more than just football, but thats what did it for me. Now instead of yelling at the tv when its not going well, i just sit calmly. Im sure id get pretty happy if we won a nc, but if not the world continues to turn.

I don't know how anyone could root for this team to lose or careless if they lose because they want BK gone. I'd feel, for lack of a better term, dirty if I rooted for them to lose.

We as diehard fans have watched most, if not all, of these kids since high school recruiting to starting or contributing to this team. We are brought into their "world" by all the inside videos we get to see from our local journalist and the ND Icon videos. We see the hard work and heartache they all endure to make us fans happy on Saturdays.

We owe it to them to not give up, as they still go out every week and bust there butt for our entertainment.

I'm just going to sit back and watch my favorite team ( out gunned as they are ) try to represent Notre Dame and not be too critical of college boys trying to win a %$#@ football game. There is not much else left to do because Notre Dame is not going to change. They have just about tried everything except go the route of meyer an saban . They upgraded the facilities they gave them a wonderful rec facility etc but you cant win without the horses.

What disgusts me is not a comment, but someone rooting for ND to LOSE.

Millions of people root for ND to lose every week, granted they aren't fans though. I disagree with Wiz's stance, but can see his logic.

BVG is still polluting the defense if we beat Duke. I'm not happy with any loss, but it isn't bad to be happy with the result from a loss IMO.

Retroactively, sure. But NOTHING can justify standing in front of a TV and hoping that ND loses, let alone hoping that they lose, weeks out from the game.

Take a chill pill. Regardless of whether they root for ND to lose or not, it's not going to alter our lives. They simply see losing as a means to an end (of the BK era). It's not something I would ever do, but not everyone sees the world through the same eyes.

I don't need a chill pill. I'm not asking for an FBI investigation into those people who do it. I'm simply saying that doing so makes you a terrible person; probably one who should die a slow and agonizing death via syphilis or something. In all seriousness......... I'm not bent out of shape about it. It does disgust me, but so do a lot of other things that I simply shrug my shoulders at and move on from.

This season just isn't fun for me anymore. I'm talking about all of college football. I watched the Notre Dame game but I wasn't even excited, even when we had good plays. Then usually after ND I'll flip around and find other games to watch, instead I went to the gym for 2 hours.

Felt the same way about watching the game today.

The rest of the day I spent with my lady and the kids. It was very much enjoyable.

As for the remaining 3 games...I'll still watch and hope for a bowl bid. Once that 7th loss comes, I'll still watch every game and cheer the team on to win.

My Saturdays will still revolve around ND. I may even tailgate next home game. But for the rest of the year I just have to take a step back and cheer but not get overly engrained in it. The heartache is just too much.

I'm still going to the USC game as it will be my first away game but this shot is getting old we need a change somewhere in the off-season.

I love Notre Dame football, but I'm so disappointed. I'm already looking forward to next year. Way too much talent to suck this bad. I say, play all of our young guys and get them some experience so we have quality depth.

Watched about a quarter and a half, then did some house work which needed to get done. Sigh.

Part of the magic of cheering for Notre Dame is that I am cheering for young men that have earned a chance to make that 40 year decision, representing a school that will not simply be a football factory.

I will watch and root for this team until the day I die or they compromise their values. As a Catholic, which comes before country, I will always root for ND and BC to do well. Good or bad, this is my team. I hope for the best. I think actual alums forget the allure of Notre Dame. The "Rudy" thing is real. I know a lot of folks are clamoring for a coach/administration that will lead ND in a different direction...no thanks.

I don't care what Lou, or Devine, or Ara got away with in recruiting. Time to ball out.

God, Country, Notre Dame.
