What coaches do you think are in the hot seat this year? I think Randy Shannon and Les Miles are..
... Brewster MN - Ice Fishing is still the most popular sport in state.
Rodriguez UM - .333 is not a bad number if your a baseball player. It stinks if you're a coach in any sport, at any level. You have to go back to 1891 to find a coach with a record like Rodriguez's and that was one hundred and 11 points higher. Since 1891 not coach has been under 55% until Rodriquez. 3 Big 10 wins. That's not 3 Wins/Year but TOTAL. Willingham gave UM the All-Time Winning Percentage in College Football. Rodriguez's is giving it back. UM's got a new AD.
Zook IL - The Roses have wilted even in Champaign. Locksley's not bringing in the talent and Zook struggled when he had it, at IL or UF
Friedgen MD - Only 2 winning seasons in past 6.
Hawkins CU - Averaging 2.5 Big 12 Wins/year. Even in Boulder that's bad.
Brewster MN - Ice Fishing is still the most popular sport in state. Averaging 2.0 Big 10 Wins/year.
Lynch IU - The Hoeppner Honeymoon is over. ND not recruiting interior linemen this year so the home grown blue chips are going to Va Tech and OSU.
Sherman A&M - They used to be 2nd to Texas. Not anymore. Not close. No Defense.
Wufll WSU - Hapless. The wolves are circling.
Erikson ASU - No Miami Magic. Only back to back losing seasons in his career. It's hot in the desert.
Miles LSU - At school that wins 64% of it's games. He's won 77%. LSU's All-Time Winingest Coach (Min 3 seasons). Averaging better than 10-3 per year. Better than Saban's record. BUT he's not Saban at least to the drunks in Baton Rouge that fill the stadium.
Spurrier SCA - The Fans in Columbia love Their Cocks. Historically a .500 team (535-535-44) and they still pack the stadium. Holtz could only win 47% of his games, Dietzel 44%. Spurrier's won 55% which puts him 5th on SCA's All Time list of Winnest Coaches. He hasn't done as well as Joe Morrison but Joe didn't have Steve's Hall of Fame credentials. So many golf courses in SCA so few players. Spurrier tees it up more often that Willingham. Visor Boy would rather face a long Par 4 than face the Gators, Dawgs, or Vols.
Richt UGA - Similar record as Les Miles, averaging 10-3. But he's 2-7 against the Gators and that includes the Zook era.
Kiffin USC - Big Program, Big Shoes To Fill, Big Mouth. This is Tennessee hoping to beat out Gawja for #2 in the SEC East. This is a annual Top 5 Program. CAL, ORE, SU, UW UCLA have gotten better. Kiffin may need NCAA Sanctions as an excuse.
Do you think if UofM dumps Rich Rod, they'll go after Les Miles?
An interesting possibility.
A coaching change at Michigan will definitely benefit the Irish. Unless Michigan hires another coach that runs the zone read spread option attack the Wolverines have used under Rich Rod, they will have to spend another two or three years recruiting players that fit their system again. If that coach is Les Miles, we benefit again because Miles is a terrible coach who has done absolutely nothing since Nick Saban's recruits graduated.
Do you think if UofM dumps Rich Rod, they'll go after Les Miles?
Rich Rod of course
Zook: amazed he still has a job
Hawkins: Ditto Zook
Freidgien: its been a while since his teams have been competitive
Sherman: has recruited well but needs to show it on the field
Les Miles: over rated, LSU has gotten worse every year he has been there. Larry Coker part 2
Spurrier: will likely retire before he is fired
Richt: think he is a really good coach but the fanbase is getting more and more vocal
Shannon: not on the hot seat but a mediocre season could warm things up
Look out for Jim Harbaugh here. Would hate to have to face Michigan with him as their coach, heres hopin rich rod get another year
Why would he still have a job: 2006(2-10), 2007 (6-7), 2008 (3-9), and 2009 (3-9)
Hell... at least zook took them to the rose bowl
I don't see Randy Shannon in any kind of real trouble...
If SC, Michigan, Purdue, Pitt and BC all fire their coaches at the end of the year something had to have gone right on our end... so ah,... yeah, those guys
I think Wannstache just signed an extension
D'antonio? Any grumblings in East Lansing?
Tom O'brien NCSU- 3 lousy seasons can't have him feeling comfortable
Wannstache has a great running back. Gotta envy that kid...
Lane Kiffin - The guy's a joke. His program should be a joke in five seasons or so...
Bob Stoops? anyone?
I dont understand how Lane Kiffin would be on the Hot Seat...
Lane Kiffin was on the hot seat his first year at Tennessee; do you not recall all of the warnings he received from SEC overhead? Now compound that with his poor ethics and morals and you've got to factor in the USC coefficient and presto buddy.
In other words, he'll be fine at USC. BTW, I give him less than four years at USC, even with their standards for coach f&^* ups...
Pleasure you calling me out Golden Child, correspond soon?
Oh yeah, who said (wrote) Kelly wasn't on the hot seat? Omission doesn't mean it isn't so.
Wouldn't this put him on the hot seat with the NCAA more than it would with USC then? No way he gets fired if he has a bad season at USC unless it's awful, where he gets like 0-5 wins. Which in my eyes means he is not on the hot seat. The Hot Seat atleast to me means you have to produce now, meaning you need a 10 win bowl season or atleast a 9 win season. Basically what I'm saying he is not going to get fired after this year if he doesn't have a great season so he's not on the hot seat.
