Youre a troll, I am a fan, I watched every game this season, plus every game since the 80s. You have no idea, what I believe and know.

Easy there sport. He's not a troll. And he didn't say you were a troll.

My team went 19-6 and took 4th place in state.

I bet you have alot of participation ribbons.

BK will not win a NC at ND, mark my words. I guess you guys like playing in stupid a## bowl games. I think the coach before made it to two BCS games and he was fired. Two years is long ehough to realize he is not the right kind of guy, for my beloved Irish. When has he even praised a player during a game.

Am i the only one questioning this? What football team plays 25 games in a season???

So tell the truth...what sport did you coach? Cause it wasn't tackle football. I took a girls bball team to the championship game in Southern California, taking 2nd place in CIF (my 2nd is better than your 4th). Does that mean I automatically know more than you AND Brian Kelly when it comes to tackle football? Of course not. So spare us your resume.

And btw, I still coach and I do get after my players, and they're just middle-schoolers. Even though I'd rather be the calmer, loving coach, getting after it is just my style of coaching. I also praise all the time (and BK does as well - not sure where you pulled that one from). You can be Phil Jackson or Nick Saban - there are tons of ways to coach and win.

Clearly you never saw Lou Holtz drag a player off the field by the facemask and scream at him on national TV. Get a grip.

Love the fact that someone changed the title of this thread!

It's posters like him who give ND fans a bad rep.

lou holtz was 8-4 in 1987, can you imagine what if he were fired before the 1988 season?

I whole-heartedly disagree with the OP's opinion, but I do respect the fact he had the balls to post his opinion on here to be torn apart by the hounds.. I think BK is the guy and there is absolutely no premise to fire him at this point, but I gotta give some credit to the OP for stating his opinion, although as misguided as I think it is, it's simply his opinion

I am a coach and you teach and yell in practice, during the game dont put down a kid, everyone is watching, let them play and have fun, players already feel bad when they make mistakes.

Time for a change, his ego is getting in the way. Every interview he says" Ive been doing this for 25 years" blah blah.He needs to take his ego, and go back to the Big East.

His style doesnt work in South Bend, we need I formation, power football.

Constantly yells at his team, I am a coach and you teach and yell in practice, during the game dont put down a kid, everyone is watching, let them play and have fun, players already feel bad when they make mistakes.

Easy schedule this year and he blew it, we should have 1 loss.

I kinda understand where you are coming from but I think Kelly deserves some time. He has upgraded the DL; and if the LBs he recruited last year develop, our front seven could compete against any team in the nation.

Offensively, I think you are likely right. I think Kelly's offense could be unstoppable IF Kelly would emphasis a more power running game. Instead he relays on draws and trickier...which works on average to poor teams but fails against quality teams. How he handled the QB situation is inexcusable.

Regarding his sideline behavior, I don't see it as a big problem. I would prefer a coach to keep his cool.

Kelly deserves more time but I do understand where you are coming from.

Also ND lowered there standards for Holtz to let Tony Rice in.

Only after Holtz vouched for Rice, and promised the University that he (Holtz) would personally guarantee that Rice would uphold his (Rice's) academic obligations.

And Rice did. It wasn't so much that ND lowered their standards for Holtz, as much as it was that the University held Holtz in such high esteem that they were willing to take his word on one or two guys.

Obviously this thread is ridiculous but I'm just curious...Given the difficult schedule next year coupled with a lot of graduating seniors, it's looking like we may have another 7-8 win regular season. Will ND continue to have patience?

By "ND", do you mean us fans or the University?

Either, both, just bored

Some of the stuff Kelly does drives me insane. Like eschewing the FG against Tulsa, and telling his true freshman QB to just chuck it up to Floyd if he was single covered. But, despite the stuff that makes me crazy, I know he is a damn fine coach, and can certainly bring ND football back to prominence. It won't be decades of dominance, like in the old days, but that's a reality of modern college football. I, for one, don't feel like I am being patient with Kelly. I feel like I can see this team improving, and Kelly is doing the right things. It's like watching your house get built. When you can see the quality work that is going into it, and envision what it will look like once it's done? It doesn't seem like being patient, it seems like you are watching something special being built.

kinda agree with this line of thought...I'll take 8 wins if I can see improvement.

Do you think Kelly will win a national championship at Notre Dame?

Like the quick kick against Stanford? I still for the life of me can't figure that one out.

That's impossible to predict. So much of winning a NC depends on luck. You have to get some bounces that go your way, throughout the season. I do think, however, that he will field a team that is capable of winning it.

I am curious who you think the new head ball coach should be?

...Crickets on that one...

reality is, there is no one...right now you couldn't even talk Aaron Taylor out of the booth to take this job...Urbie wasn't going to take it...Stoops, well right now I'm thinking he wishes he would have...as someone mentioned before...the best you could hope for is an up and comer to take the job and then survive long enough to get his players in...Kelly is the only one...I hope he gets a chance...

Actually, I didn't mind that one. If Golic makes his block, then that play probably pins Stanford inside their own red zone. That play actually allows you to line up in a offensive set, and use a hard count to try to get a first down via penalty, before actually kicking the ball. The problem with that instance of that play was that Golic got beaten badly by his man, who then was in position to block the kick. I thought it was more poor execution than a bad play call.

This is ver ycorrect. IF alabama's FG Kicker showa up they are going to the NC game.
