Not my practice to call out players or coaches for their performance, but I've seen enough from parker to know he isn't the answer.

Someone nailed it when they mentioned every yard seems so hard. That happens when the opposition knows your tendencies and you don't have or haven't shown any counters to that particular play. The defense can just diagnose and attack.

Clemson has a good D, but there were a lot of points left on the field. Parker l lacks the feel for calling a week timed counter and on the off chance he guesses right, someone doesn't execute their assignment which blows up the play. Again, needing everyone to doi their job perfectly is not a recipe for success...

I listened to radio call during the 1st half. Harris was calling it out on the very 1st drive.

Wait, you mean when we run jumbo package on first and goal from 4 Clemson knew we would run it?

Ha, he’s so bad

I know it’s tough to find a positive, but I think this puts Freeman in a similar situation as BK after the 2016 season. Keeping Parker at OC is almost guaranteed to get Freeman fired after next season.

He’ll have to go make a big boy hire.
If he brings Parker back, Freeman is punting on his career at Notre Dame. I wouldn’t do that for any of my friends, but maybe he’s just a really nice guy.

The good news is if you dump Parker now you’re at the front of the line for OC hires and hopefully you can get one signed up early enough that they can recruit their preferred QB out of the portal.
Sort of the opposite of what happened when Rees left late in the cycle.

Instead of next weekend talking about getting a transfer QB for next season, I say next weekend you say goodbye to Parker.

Let Gino & McCullough call plays the rest of the season.

ND get's the best QB in the transfer portal and this is the showing we get.

While Sam didn't play his best, this is not on Sam.

Parker will hold Freeman back, Parker MUST go.

There is no one open, ever. I’m so used to guys like Pyne “missing” open receivers but with Parker it’s just guys completely covered every play. There is nowhere to go with the ball even if Sam was playing well. I don’t understand it.
When you never call a pass over the middle it makes it harder to hit the outside throws.

We had Tobias running outside posts all game, yeah that’s not going to work

It’s the same plays on repeat to wrs

Almost No first down pa chances to wrs

Clemson was in single high safety all game even towards the end, left the field wr in and island with db all game… nd does the same our Clemson got a PI out of it

When you watch some of the pass plays, the WRs seem so bunched up when running their routes that the defense can cover two WRs with one defensive player. Just seems every throw there are multiple receivers in the same window. Not enough spacing.

It’s not to excuse Sam but when they replay using the “behind the QB” camera angle, I’m staring at the TV thinking wtf is he supposed to throw the ball to.

Parker is not VanGorder bad. He's just over his head. I can't say his play calling is improving. He is becoming so predictable he is a liability.

I don't know if Freeman has the bandwidth to process this. Maybe at the end of the season? They say good teams make their own luck. That is not a trick Parker has learned

Agreed. I can't blame Parker for everything, but this isn't working, especially against anyone remotely good and or on the road.

Disagree on that. We were 10-3 in 2015 despite the awful BVG defense.

I agree that Parker isn't Vangorder bad... yet.

If we don't get a new OC in the off-season he will be just as damaging. Vangorder was a killer because we kept him long after it was obvious that it wasn't working and it just kept getting worse. I think we're seeing the same thing happen here.

You don’t think it’s as bad as van gorder? I mean the offense is definitely the reason we are losing games. The offense has been in complete shambles for 6 straight games
