This kid is absolutely incredible. Regardless of the defense he's facing, to have 4 (!) incompletions, 436 passing yards, and 6(!) TDs is absurd. That's with 7 minutes left in the 3rd. Not to mention, he's been putting up those stats all year! I love Manti, but there is absolutely no way in hell he or anybody else can overtake Geno for Heisman (unless he gets injured or something).

He will play alot better defenses but he has an 83% completion rate. Thats crazy.

So you can win the Heisman in 4 games? Let him do this against Texas, K-State, TCU, and Oklahoma, then I'll give him the Heisman, but not after putting up video game numbers on Marshall, James Madison, Maryland, and Baylor's awful defense. I like the kid, and hes off to a great start, but its alittle early in the season to be giving people awards.

Hello Dana Holgorsen's Air Raid...it's what he does.
It's quite enjoyable to watch for sure.
I'm a fan of Big Ern McCracken.

Definitely true. But damn, those have to be the most impressive stats I've ever seen for a QB.

Haha, I definitely didn't realize he had only played against those pathetic defenses. Those games you mentioned will definitely be interesting to watch.

Big12 football at its finest. The OK State v. Texas game will be similar. Probably 44-41

Texas/WVU next week is going to be yummy...

Hard to believe Texas of all teams is under the radar but they certainly are this year, best team in the country that no one talks about...

What time is that game? Hopefully not on during the ND game, id love to watch both if possible

WV vs Texas is at 7:00, so I guess we'll all have to have the remote handy.

In 4 games:

Geno Smith has thrown for 1,700+ yards, 20 TDs, and no interceptions while completing passes at an 83% clip.

Steadman Bailey has 645 yards and 10 TD catches.

Tavon Austin has 560 yards and 7 TDs.

West Virginia's #3 WR, J.D. Woods, has 260 yards and 2 TDs, which would lead our team by over 100 yards.

Jesus Christ.

You know I had a bad image of Geno in my head for some reason like he was a thug or something... Hearing him talk he seems like a good kid... Sounds a lot like RG III or Andrew Luck... Team guy. Well spoken like the two former also.

Anyway, not to overreact... But he has to be the Heisman leader right... Still many games though.

He's the clear leader, right now. Nobody even comes close.

Currently a Junior here at WVU. I can attest that Geno is most certainly a good kid. He lives in the same apartment complex as me with Stedman Bailey as well. Have only heard great things about him. Not sure he has the lovable personality that RGIII has but I'd take him as my QB any day.

Yes there offense is playing better the ours, but there defense is awful. Today they let up 63 points, which is 27 more points then we've given up in 4 games, including 2 games vs ranked teams. In there 4 games they have given up 94 more points then us. I wouldnt trade places.

He's still got Kstate, Texas, TexTech, Oklahoma, TCU and OkSt I think... that's a pretty tough stretch.
