Some guys Kenny's outpassing yardagewise include Moore, Carr, Manning, Sellers, Stockton, Mateer, Bachmeier, Iamaleava. Not a super meaningful stat but fun.

Carr has missed close to 4 quarters of football at this point. Agreed it doesn't matter much. Just win. We all predicted it would happen and said it would likely impact his standing with the individual awards.

I've been sounding the alarm on what I perceive as a downward trend in TV viewership on ND games. I wonder how long NBC will want to paying us and thus allowing independence.

Per chatGPT:
Week 1 vs Wisconsin - 7.42M (#1 viewership game)
Week 2 vs Rice - 1.63M (#10 game)
Week 3 vs Michigan St 3.24M (~ top 10 game wasn't clear where exactly)
Week 4 vs Purdue - N/A (Peacock)
Week 5 vs UNC 2.98M (#8 game)
Week 6 vs Stanford 1.72M (~ 11 or lower wasn't clear where exactly)

So sure, maybe concerning, but to be able to essentially guarantee a top 10 games every week is pretty damn appealing in my eyes. They're going to end up with 2 #1 weekly viewership games this year from ND with Wisconsin and Miami and likely 5 or 6 out of the 7 games in the top 10.

Also need to take into consideration the type of viewer ND attracts is much more valuable than say the viewer Alabama gets....
I get where you're coming from, but aren't most commercials for fast food and other shit the common man wants or needs? I don't see a lot of ads for Tiffany & Co.

Dude, ND has a huge fan base, but I would guess the majority of them are middle class just like Alabama.

I feel like there used to be a lot of financial services ads on college football, moreso than pro sports - the idea being that the typical college football fan was also a college graduate, and thus more likely to be more educated/affluent than average.
Not sure if that's still the case? (no, Liberty Mutual, Geico and Progressive don't count)

Yeah, you might be right about a decline in financial services ads, but I always thought of the average CFB fan as the guy who barely graduated high school. Maybe that's colored by my experience growing up surrounded by Walmart Wolverines.
