LOL, that station has done that take for a few years now. about 3 years ago I was on air with talking to that guy and said ND would be in the West part of the conference with Wisconsin, Iowa, etc and would win that side the majority of the time and he name dropped Iowa and Wisconsin being in the BIG championship game about the same amount of times.
That really doesn't make much sense at all; I think one of the biggest draws for ND ever joining the B1G (if ever) would be to get their traditional rivals back on the schedule, i.e. scUM, Sparty, and Purdue. Joining the B1G West wouldn't solve that. It's a moot point now, anyways.
They're always contradicting themselves. I remember when Desmond HOward was trying to make a stink about ND making the playoff in '18 and '20 without playing in the conference championship, then listening to Gator and Karsch had their show talking about how scUM should be a lock in 2022 regardless of the OSU outcome if they ended up losing and going 11-1.
I called in politely to point out the contradiction from Michigan fans, then hung up. ND fans keep receipts, I remember Desmond and other pundits whining about ND getting in at 12-0 in 2018 without a CCG, and again at 10-1 (covid shortened season, equivalent of 12-1 conference championship loser), only to say you think scUM now deserves the treatment you were crying about.
