Well, the catch is that the B1G and SEC are projected to have significant escalators year over year that will take them north of $100 million before the new deals end.

Does ND's deal match that type of growth or does the gap start small and get bigger each year?
I thought the $100m stuff for B1G was related to Oct/Nov night games and bids on the championship games that the commissioner that negotiated the deal didn't have the right to do?

ND's deal is only through 2029, so roughly 5 years, and then negotiations for a new deal will have to be made. JS said media deals are going to be for shorter terms for the foreseeable future.

Agreed but I’m also convinced it had to do with the receiver position group being the worst we’ve had in decades
The receiver position in general was down for most of Kelly's era. The recruiting has picked up since Freeman came on board, so we've got young talent, they're just mostly unproven and younjg/inexperienced.. I'd argue there are some worse years than this year. From a statistical standpoint our WRs were worse last season, but 2017 wasn't particularly great either with a seemingly unmotivated EQ leading the group with 500 yards. 2020 wasn't a great year either as it took us awhile to find a group of receivers that worked together. In any case, it's been awhile since we've had a dangerous WR duo like a Tate/Floyd or Stovall/Samardzija.

What the hell, it’s been a whole day and no portal transfers or big time players staying. Come on MF!

With all the opt outs and portal exits we only had four players start all 13 games. Any ready to guess who they are?

I think there may be five because Coogan played in every game so I think he started all of them. My dumbass forgot Marist opted out yesterday haha. So it's Watts, Cross, Mills, and Coogan

ND and UGA got sizable bumps for beating the crap out of good teams that were shells of their regular season selves. they need to figure out a way to weight opt outs / injuries into the formula.
