Independent journalist Jon Larsen first reported that The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has received a litany of complaints about religious ideology seeping into military orders since the U.S. and Israel began bombing Iran.

See here: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/troops-being-told-to-prepare-for-armageddon-in-iran_n_69a6ffe3e4b076ac5d63c82c?ncid=NEWSSTAND0001
Mike Weinstein is a loser that has a repeated history of making shit up and is a clear hater of religion.

Well, what are you gonna do? They're reporting that the sources (soldiers) are being kept anonymous for fear of retribution so we'll have to see what might come out eventually.

This video is so close to getting it. We are putting Chinas industrial capacity in a stranglehold by stopping the flow of Venezuelan and Iranian oil, but the fact that this motherfucker thinks that our increased defense budget goes to Saudi Arabia is fucking laughable. Like there’s no way he’s that stupid

Again, I'm no expert, but according to data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the biggest importer of arms from the United States from 2015 to 2019 was Saudi Arabia. See https://www.statista.com/chart/12205/the-usas-biggest-arms-export-partners/

And then according to more recent SIPRI data covering transfers of major conventional weaponry by the US between 2020 and 2024 via the direct, government-government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, the largest importers of arms from the United States were Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, and Japan, accounting for significant shares of total US foreign military sales.

  • Israel
was the 11th largest recipient with a 3.0% share, though it saw a massive spike in military aid and new agreements following the October 2023 conflict.

So maybe "this motherfucker" is not "that stupid?" But what do I know?

Dothan ain't too bad actually. They have an army base. They train helicopter pilots there. Not the most exciting place but an easy drive to the Redneck Riviera (30A Florida)
I did a visit there once and was hit with a job offer (not an interview trip). The drive to Destin was the top selling point. They offered me 20k/kid/yr as a bonus to cover private school without me even mentioning the school situation. It was fascinating, but definitely better standard of living than Canada.

It’s only a war when the other side is doing it. Hypocrites as usual.

But that’s exactly what you’re saying. As long as Jeffries changed his position from 15 years ago, it’s ok that Mullin changed his in 15 seconds. When does the peace start? When does the stock market start performing?

Two crazy things I've heard in the last few days re: this war, the military, and Donald Trump:

1) Hegseth stated in his speech at The Pentagon yesterday: "We will finish this on America first conditions of President Trump's choosing, nobody else's, as it should be." I guess he doesn't answer to Congress or the American People.

2) A commander addressing troops before the Iranian surge was set to begin, allegedly citing the Book of Revelation and the section specifically referring to Armageddon and the "imminent" return of Jesus Christ, told his troops "The war in Iran is all part of God's divine plan. And the commander stated that President Donald Trump "has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth." And soldiers said the commander "had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy."

This is a problem when 1) Everyone starts treating Trump as an Authoritarian "El Jefe" and 2) Christian Nationalist nut jobs infiltrate our government and military leadership and oriented towards Armageddon and End Times and that Trump is anointed by Jesus.

A prayer before battle for God to look over the soldiers and keep them safe is one thing, but allusions to Armageddon and End Times in the context of attacking and bombing Iran is quite another.
They took their cue from Pelosi when she was asked if Obama needed congressional approval and she said no.

You called out Mullin- I put you on the spot to do the same for Jeffries. Jeffries answer was awkward and dismissive. Presidents aren’t going to signal an attack like this to Congress in advance. We have members who hate Israel and want this to fail. It’s not an option. Rubio communicated it as expected. I have zero issues with it. I like the Fetterman approach to politics.

Ok great, Hakeem Jeffries sounds like an abject moron for being consistent 15 years later. Ok, now your turn, is Mullin a moron for changing his tune 15 seconds later?

The Fetterman approach is to have a stroke and become a Republican. Incredible. Did not realize that was a sought after approach.

Mullin is a fighter, not an orator. It’s as obvious what Mulllin is doing as it is that democrats are whining about something they absolutely justify when they have the White House.

So you have no problem with Mullin because Hakeem Jeffries. Crazy to have all these built in mechanisms that allows you to not feel any shame.

I have no shame because this is not a war. It’s an operation. I was not angry when Democrats launched bombs to kill bad guys for the right reasons. That is consistent. I am similarly not angry here. The reflexive griping about going to Congress is stupid. Presidents shouldn’t signal attacks in the modern era. We don’t march in columns towards the enemy position anymore. If anything, it was signaled with the massive troop buildups and movement in the weeks prior, but I don’t give a shit if they do it for the right reasons and it’s short. I do think longer operations should have some approval.

I am only angry when they are incompetent (Afghanistan departure) and put our people at unnecessary risk. Stabilizing Iran is 100% worth it.

The first day of the operation against Iran, I joked to a family member that the leftists and the usual useful idiots would probably decry decapitating Iran's crazy regime and find a way to complain about us removing them as a threat. I was joking. I was sure even the worst of the bunch wouldn't actually do that. I stand before you admitting that I was so very very wrong.

An unexploded Iranian missile landed near Qamishli International Airport in northeastern Syria today.
Civilians were pictured next to the missile, part of which was buried in the ground.

The lift on that explosion is insane. Broke in two and likely sank very quickly. Have to imagine the ship was already incapacitated if they were at periscope depth.
The Fact that the engagement was at PD has no correlation to whether or not the ship was incapacitated
