Right, and a masked man, who's identity is not confirmed at this time, just happens to strike a woman picking olives while someone just happens to be filming prior to the unprovoked attack. Obviously settler terrorism happens, but so does propaganda. This one feels suspect.
Lmao okay. Don't worry, violent settlers wouldn't wear a mask. This was widely reported but I get it, it's hard to go against The Chosen People.

What? Why would the identity be confirmed? He's not going to be arrested for that. Settlers have IDF backing and go unpunished.

Jewish source for this:

Under the bus??? They're praising him for it! Perfectly legal and exactly what the situation calls for. Taking out drug smugglers is a wonderful thing. It's what normal Americans want.

“President Trump and Secretary Hegseth have made it clear that presidentially designated narcoterrorist groups are subject to lethal targeting in accordance with the laws of war. With respect to the strikes in question on Sept. 2, Secretary Hegseth authorized Adm. Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes,” Leavitt said.

“Adm. Bradley worked well within his authority and the law to ensure the boat was destroyed and the threat to the United States of America was eliminated,” she continued. “This administration has designated these narcoterrorists as foreign terrorist organizations. The president has the right to take them out if they are threatening the United States of America, if they are bringing illegal narcotics that are killing our citizens at a record rate, which is what they are doing.”

It’s not like he gave a bunch of Somalis a billion dollars of tax money and threatened the whistle blowers.

Everyone who went to a rave outside of Gaza is the same to me as those "drug dealers" are to you.

These drug lords have absolutely no regard for life or legalities. Remind us why we should feel sorry for them?
The resident useful idiots will be along shortly with their usual hand wringing and...

"Due process!"
"Trump's a war criminal!
"It's because you hate brown people!"
"Those are just fishing boats!"

This is WAY more serious than whatever those previous comments are about.

When a spectacular limited operation takes place (which our Leviathan can pull off on a weekly basis due to overwhelming power), it leaves behind a massively changed situation. In this one we have an entire complicated and rot-filled country left still mainly "in status". But what to do now? This President has just announced that WE are going to run it. ... and claims that it will cost nothing to rebuild the whole thing because our Oil Companies will do most of it and pay the bills.

Meditate ... Iraq ... Afghanistan ... Boots on the ground ... yes, no burden on us; easy project.

Hope no one has draft status for Venezuelan/Colombian border duties. This is not a joke nor a one morning strike.

MAYBE in a long time, something "better" might come of this -- who-the-hell-knows? But it's not some ha-ha firework display and run away.

OMM, I think there is a particular difference in this case, where Venezuela has an actual cultural living memory of free and fair elections. There is a wide spread opposition party with 70% public support behind it.

I'm talking about us going into a huge geographical and political and criminal mess and saying that WE are going to run it until it is straightened out.

If the current political leaders were/are corrupt, sure, it's great to see them go. But for US to stay and run that country? Wow. Anyone who thinks THAT concept is simple and safe is ..... well, they watch too many movies. You can't easily "run" another population's country.

If in fact we end up doing what we usually do, not really straighten things out but take the first chance to get out of there, then that puts us into a third different set of morality decisions. I really dislike hit-and-run politics. I also really dislike run-other-peoples'-lives politics. Both suck. The point is that this is not just another day at the old Washington DC politics scene. This is Big Boy LONG COMMITMENT or else Big Boy BS in action.

... and the pervading commentary run-through was all about our getting the Oil. THAT should make for meditation, too.

... hmmm. What was Iraq really about?

Yep-wondering what this is going to look like. Same old thing, or is the US going to learn?

Wouldn't surprise me if multiple seniors in the Ven. govt and mil were co-opted. Use them to run the govt with the US advising. I do not want troops on the ground. Seems as though the Ven mil and police are intact-let them rule the ground.

Are the Venezuelan military and police also ultra-corrupt and "in" on the crap, though?
High ranking officials I would say yes, but rank and file are probably loyal to their paycheck. A job in the military is a great way to ensure your family is fed, especially in a country like Venezuela
