Sad...the cycle begins again. Hamas cannot be allowed to run Gaza, they cannot be allowed to hold positions of power or rule. There needs to be a security force to police the area, independent from Israel I guess because they'll be painted as the bad guy no matter what kind of job they do.

Yep, this ceasefire is just temporary

It really always is when you're talking Israel and Palestine, but hopefully the "peace" lasts awhile (I use that term loosely since both sides are already accusing the other of violating the ceasefire). It's disheartening that Hamas is already executing people in the street in broad daylight. There may never be a true end as long as both sides exist sadly, that's just the way it is. You would have hoped after 2 years that Hamas didn't have enough presence there anymore.

Probably need a UN Security Force to disarm Hamas as they agreed to, but haven't done yet.

Going to be very interested in seeing how the system operates. What type of enrichment, cooling, moderation, etc. They're aiming for 50MW which is pretty impressive on that scale. My guess is >80% enrichment
How does this differ from the small reactors on a sub?

Looks considerably smaller footprint, but you also have to remember that the vast majority of the power that a Naval nuclear power plant creates is used for the propulsion of the vessel, which is obviously not applicable in this case.

Well right, I realize almost all the power from one on a sub goes to propulsion, but that same drive can be used for generating electricity with a land based one. I'm more interested in the technology difference: different cooling systems, size, power output, containment, etc. Seems like a cool new development, but I haven't had time to look further into it and see what's different from a small sub reactor.

My thoughts about a Generac-sized nuclear power unit: What could go wrong?

Grok "This isn't a direct US taxpayer bailout but a facilitated $20B package tapping private banks and funds to stabilize Argentina's peso ahead of midterms. Milei's aggressive reforms tackle entrenched inflation and debt from prior socialist policies, yielding early wins like fiscal surplus despite recessionary pain—it's not failure but necessary adjustment. Long-term US costs appear low via swaps, potentially boosting a free-market partner without moral hazard if conditioned on continued deregulation."

"No, it's not a bailout—it's a currency swap expansion using IMF resources and private financing to back peso stability, not direct US taxpayer funds rescuing failure. Milei's policies are delivering surpluses amid tough reforms inherited from Peronist mismanagement, so this facilitates adjustment rather than subsidizes inefficiency. Long-term, it strengthens a pro-market ally without moral hazard if tied to continued liberalization."

Sorry this doesn't fit your preferred narrative.

Not seeing anyone or publications with good credibility reporting this story. Lots of people in the comments are calling this a Pallyworld production. Jury is still out, but I would take it with a grain of salt until there's some better confirmation.

"Pallyworld" whatever

Settler terrorism is well documented. People just don't care.

Right, and a masked man, who's identity is not confirmed at this time, just happens to strike a woman picking olives while someone just happens to be filming prior to the unprovoked attack. Obviously settler terrorism happens, but so does propaganda. This one feels suspect.

Wasn't familiar with that account, did some searching and found some interesting stuff:
Following that account for a couple years now and I would never describe it as pro Russian. If anything I would describe it as pro Ukraine/West

I would say it is very Neo-Conservative in its view on how foreign affairs should be conducted. That account is great when it’s being objective but a bit stale in its editorial

Would be curious to get your thoughts on Molfar calling JD Vance, Charlie Kirk, and Elon Musk as Russian Propagandists.

The Molfar group is a London-based Ukrainian intelligence group linked to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and labeled American politicians as “foreign propagandists”.

A Ukrainian and USAID-supported group would never have an alternative agenda. Am I right?

I don't know Molfar anymore than I know OSINTdefender which I why I went searching in the first place for the later to get perspective. If you Google "osintdefender media bias" most of the hits on the first page and into the second page suggest propaganda from that account, manipulation, questionable reliability, etc. One of the hits just happened to be Molfar, which did raise some interesting points about the account. Maybe propagandists are good at sniffing out other propagandists?
