That’s misleading.

The Iranians clearly stated position is that any “deal” will have to allow enrichment for energy production, which puts us right back at the terms of the JCPOA.

If I had to place a bet I would wager that Israel agreed to the ceasefire because both they and the US were running low on intercept munitions and the Iranians still had a bunch of ballistic missiles ready to go and if the war had dragged out into one of attrition Tel Aviv among other places would have been flattened.

But hey, we now have the 12 day war to talk about.
