The impression that I've been left with is that you strongly oppose Israel and you strongly oppose Hamas. Just trying to ascertain which one you more strongly oppose. If I am overstating your opposition to Israel, my apologies.
This is how I approach it. It's like when have a rabid dog that attacks a child. The owner who abuses that dog doesn't care, they don't accept any blame and they are mystified as to why that dog is so violent. Then the people in neighborhood all agree that dog should be put down. You then see people start a campaign to eliminate that type of dog because all that dog knows is to be violent. There is no reflection on why the owner, who is supposed to be the rational actor, failed so miserably at their responsibilities.
So, with Hamas I think they should be eliminated and barred from any official political status. My issue with many on this site and in general is that people misunderstand the power dynamic. 100 times out of 100, the religious extremist group will be in the wrong that is always true. What I don't believe in is collective punishment. I know that many will point to "well the people in Gaza support them", which is the dumbest argument. Of course they'll support them. All they've been exposed to is violence. When they have October 7th's happening monthly, they are going to choose the side that kills them less. It's not excusing the violence, no one has ever been bombed/slaughtered into being more accepting or peaceful. The longer that a war criminal is the leader of the state of Israel the worse it is for Israeli citizens. Bibi is uniquely bad in that he carries out war crimes, but also he conflates the Jewish people with his administrations actions. This leads to ignorant people thinking that Jewish people are a monolith and support his actions, and thus you have antisemites like Jackson Hinkle and Nick Fuentes pushing insane rhetoric about how all Jewish people are like this.
Tldr - It's stupid to think of this as a measuring of which side is worse, the religious nutjobs will always be worse, but I will never excuse war crimes and support collective punishment. There's the Geneva conventions for a reason.
