Excellent work, guys. Definitely hit it on the head. Based on that one thread, we are not dealing with a very sophisticated person. Trying to deal with her in that thread was like trying to explain to a four year why the tide goes in and out. I read through the Floyd thread at wearesc, and honestly I wasn't all that offended. It is basically what you would expect: a bunch of fanboys (and fangirls, apparently) lacking knowledge of the situation and incapable or unwilling to put in the effort to ascertain the facts.

In the end, their opinion does not matter at all. NDinLA is a saint for even trying to reason with them, but I wouldn't have bothered. Seeing the situation objectively doesn't benefit them in any way, so why would they do anything other than what they are doing?

After seeing Micheal's interview, I can safely say that I see a young man who is remorseful and very apologetic. He's realized he made a mistake and has taken the steps necessary to get his life together. I, for one, am proud to have him attending Notre Dame.

Same reason the public reveled in Tiger Woods' fall from grace. As a society, we love building things up and then tearing them down.

Notre Dame has built a strong national brand of academic/ athletic excellence and Christian values. A story about how ND has sold out its commitment to academics or its ethics in order to achieve athletic success has the same sordid appeal of reality TV shows and car wrecks.

But here's the thing: the Los Angeles Archdiocese made Catholic elementary schools go to basically an 11 month calendar starting this year (not happy about this). We start school now on Aug 8th. Since we get our 1st paycheck on the 15th, my principal had us come in on the 1st, giving me 5 days to clean and set up my classroom and get ready fro school. I only needed 2. So today I had all the time in the world, and in between doing lesson plans for the entire month, I would read their board and respond. I'm not really the 'troll' type of guy, and I know several members of that board personally and I've met and spoken to their mod (Garry P) on a few occasions, so I keep it cool with them. Believe me, I could have gotten a LOT worse with them and nailed them on several things, but I'm not there to instigate anything.

As for trojanprincess, yes, she is usc1 on that board, and I was fooled by her. I figured that out about a month ago when she went off on Missy Conboy and I completely nailed her on it, to the point that 2 USC fans PM'd me telling me how wrong usc1 was and what a b!tch she was being. And I already repped Neutered for seeing through her b.s. from the jump (when I told him to chill and give her a chance).

I just posted ahead. There was no rape. No one under statutory age. Fondling breast was the worst charge as I understand it.
