Since it is officially "The Part of the Year That Sucks", here's another off-topic thread:

Explain the meaning of your handle and why you chose it.

Mine is pretty simple. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles (Monterey Park), and I work in Los Angeles. And since SocalDomer was already taken, I chose NDinL.A. At the time, it was the only message board I ever joined (still only read college football message boards and no other message boards - I waste enough time on ND football as it is!), but is still my favorite.

mine is just a play on my name followed by the ammount of you clowns I have completely owned over the years... or it's just a random thing I came up with at the time... can't remember which... doesn't matter, both is accurate enough.




It is also the same tag I had for years on the ESPN boards... I was on there a while before finding this place in 06

I have always been a huge fan of Rocket. He was one of my Dad's favorite players and it rubbed off on me. I came up with the second Rocket because when I joined this site it was my freshman year at the University of Toledo.

Rocket is my favorite Irish player.

He played in 1989, I like the number 89, and Alexander Mogilny was my favorite hockey player as a kid.

Mine is obvious, but there is a deeper meaning as well. Like NDinL.A., I live in enemy territory - mostly Trojans out here. Whenever I go anywhere and see anyone wearing ND gear or they see mine, the salutation is always the same - "Go Irish!" A buddy of mine started calling me GO IRISH because of that regular salute.

Mine is simple. An often used shortened version of my last name (nick name material) preceded by an initial. Had I chosen "Richard" all would be fine though a bit bulky. As it is, had I opted for ****, as I've been known all my life, rather than the simple "d," the current filter would have "asterisk-ed" my user name, as you can see.

Sherm Sticky was my alter ego. When I was younger and used to go out for a night on the town. I guess you could say he is my wild side.

ND in CT is pretty self explanatory. I wanted to change it up.

Well my first name was Weis 4 President.

Then he got axed. And I wanted a quick name change. I watch the show "The League" and I thought the first episode with Mr. McGibblets was hilarious and I liked the way he looked.

So I made the name with the avatar.

I have been debating about a change as I have seen alot of imposter McGibblets making it somewhat un-original.

I was definitely the first McGibblets on all internet boards andf fantasy names.

Haha, i dont think many people realize that. Funny thing, there was this thread asking where someone had been (I think BGIF). I asked the question in same thread, something like "has anyone seen Weis 4 President?"

Some people got it because my user title/caption thing was "Formerly Weis 4 President". I think others were just like "WTF?"

I live in SoCal and have quite a few latino friends(im actually as white as they come, but most ppl think im latino too). I dont tell anyone but I can understand spanish, just not speak it well. When thinking of a handle for this site, I saw a pic of the Touchdown Jesus, and figured that was too generic. Then thought TDJesus(but said TD-'Heysus' in my mind), but still thought it was a little too generic; so I spiced it up by changing the words to what I was saying phonetically.

I like it so much, I made it my xbox360 handle as well.

JadeBrecks has been my user name since I was around 12. It branched from my user name since I was 8. Can't say any more because my dad is on the forum and my family have been trying to get it out of me for 10 years unsuccessfully and I'm enjoying it eating them.
