I had wondered this as well. Because here i think our guys are only paid in the season?
They are, but when speaking salaries it’s always the annual amount. So when I hear weekly wages I was never sure how to accurately compare with US sports.

Is it common in the UK for people to use weekly wages to discuss pay in regular jobs?

I did a quick search and it looks like pay period varies for regular jobs. Weekly wages for soccer players can be paid monthly. I guess it just varies club to club but it does go all year.

Figured he was the one who said it was time to move on...this hurts man. If we are rolling out Kovacic Bernardo and gundogan next year I'll be sick

I love Jose Mourinho's stance on DeBruyne and Salah. He basically says he's the one who found them but neither were ready for the Premier League with Chelsea when he did. LOL.

Look what the two of them have done in England. He had them both and let them go. Simple as that.

I legit cannot understand AC Milan rn. Leao, Rjeinders, and Pulisic are legit world class players and yet they cant manage more than a series of draws and losses against much lower tier teams.

I truly adore Rjeinders. Dude is a baller. I cant see him staying there much longer.
Leao has to be one of the silkiest and "long" soccer players I have ever seen. He just cant seem to put it together.

I think at this point I'd buy and read Mourinho's book on his coaching career. Even if he is truly full of shit, some of his stories are so good. lol

He has noticeably dropped off this year. Im not surprised. City are ruthless. I'd probably keep Kovacic but cant see Bernardo or Gundagan staying. They are just not able to hold the MF like they used to.

He's 34 in June. He's had some time on the injury list in recent years.

One of the best midfielders in the history of the League, but it's probably going to be time. If he wants to play at a high level, he's going to be a squad guy for most of the top clubs competing with City. He can go to MLS and start more than likely.

Interested to see where he lands. I don't know that MLS is a slam dunk. He'll stay in Europe for a good opportunity.

Management. Also Leao is only world class when he wants to be. Inconsistent effort. Agree on Rjeinders. Also bringing in all the loaned players like Felix is bad for team chemistry. Milan is kind of a mess from top to bottom.

Tea leaves are suggesting Real Madrid are going for Alexander Arnold, Saliba and Rodri.

I have to assume this is nothing more than transfer gossip because I fail to understand where they can find the money to buy the latter two and the wages to pay all three on top of who they already have in their squad.

Saliba for anything less than $160 million... no thanks. Even then, he is the anchor to Arsenal sooo no.
