I saw the score walking into church and got ecstatic,… came out and saw city came back,…. Bah.

The sooner Chelsea, Pool and Coty get their comeuppance the better,… hopefully at the hands of Newcastle

Ian Wright played most of his career with Crystal Palace and Arsenal. I don't understand his love on for Liverpool.

Yeah. Not excited about the midfield. Yikes. VVD seems like he checked out sometime ago. Way too lax in general.

Concede the first goal for the seventh game in a row.

Non existent midfield from what I've seen of them so far. Even with Mane, they're probably still struggling.

Speaking of which, Bayern Munich have a +14 goal differential already and they've played three matches. They've actually conceded a goal, which to me should result in them not getting a full three points.

So United fans get another Real Madrid player and a win over Liverpool. The protests will die down for a while then.

This is embarrassing for Liverpool but not a total surprise, really. Doesn't appear either of these are going anywhere this year.

I get there are different ways to skin a cat, but Liverpool are not doing themselves any favors with a midfield full of thirty something injury prone players. Not to mention they don't have a great deal of depth up front. One injury is all it takes.

City should cruise to a title and be able to focus on Europe.

Haven't seen them this lost since Rodgers.

Seeing Brighton, Newcastle, Leeds and Fulham then seeing Liverpool, United and Chelsea I feel like we're in some kind of alternate England.

Forget replacing mane. Looks like we still haven’t learned how to play with out him.
Nah, Diaz is good. The midfield is trash. Plus it looks like no one is interested. They looked like killers against City in that Community Shield match.

Best manager in a generation and they're playing Moneyball in the most competitive spending league in the world. It's gotten them one League, one Champions League and two domestic cups. I don't understand it.

Spending doesn't cure everything, but they clearly know how to do it right but choose not to.

Do you think they could play moneyball on steroids and find the better right guys? It seems like they don't ever want to spend too much on one player, but if it costs $70 mil for a midfielder, would they go for it (even if there was a $30 mil option who wasn't as good)?

Our net spend is very low. They sold $65 mil worth of players and spent $80 on Nunez and Carvahlo…. That’s how they operate now.

It seems to me like they are selective regardless. They broke the bank on Van Dijk and Allison. That paid off, but it was also predicated on the sale of the kid who went to Barca and got loaned to Villa last year (what happened to him?).

There are a handful of clubs who would have been able to keep both Salah and Mane by extending both. They could really only keep one and it was going to be Salah of the two. They didn't lose a match in the League from December 2021 on to today because they had Diaz added to their attack. In reality he was the replacement for Mane because they knew he was walking.

To make this Man United team look good, you have to be pretty bad. They were awful today and I don't think it is an outlier. They could be looking at upper mid table right now if they progress forward with this midfield. I don't know if Arsenal can go punch for punch with City.

Also, that Bruno Fernandes is a twat. One of the more unlikable players in Europe.

It's just so strange that they have been so proactive with transfers and future needs that they didn't get a midfielder last season. I know Elliot is young, but you have Milner (36) and Henderson (32).

I wonder what it's like having a team be proactive in the transfer windows.

A lot of talk that Jude Bellingham is going to Liverpool next summer. I'll put good money that he winds up with Real Madrid and Liverpool are left holding their wads two summers in a row because Real took their midfield transfer target.

Didn't Liverpool's Billy Beane/Theo Epstein guy leave at the end of last season?

Very early, but the most settled team I have seen in England so far is Arsenal. They look very good. Youngest squad in the League.

Serie A top 8 is every usual suspect.

I haven't been able to watch much EPL this year. However, I've read that Van Dijk has been less tan stellar. Is that actually true? His 80% is better than 90% of defenders in the league, but Milner seemed to let him have it yesterday after the Sancho goal.

Also, even though Fernandes plays on the team I root for, I would hate him on any other team. Any one who talks shit about him diving or being a twat is 100% accurate.
