Got to watch half the game --- McKennie was on a different level than anyone out there. I've never seen that consistent excellence of close quarters foot skill out of him before --- really impressive. Of course he was wildbullman out there for a while too. Glad no red card. I'll always be on the edge about that. He and Miazga were also our only real muscle out there, and the team needs that.

From what little I saw, Reyna is world class as well. Dest seems very good. I can't yet believe Cannon, but if he played every game like that game, I'd get open-minded about him as a Yedlin competitor. I need to see Musah and Soto more. Adams too. I'm still of course on the Pulisic for King train, and more controversially the Sargent train.

Question for the experts: If you'd give me Sargent as my nine, and I added Pulisic and Reyna in the front four (including the attacking midfielder), and I wanted McKennie as the whole field ranging midfielder controller, who should be my "other" attacker in my front "diamond" backed by McKennie? (the back pitch people can be Dest, Yedlin/Cannon, Brooks, Miazga, Adams, Steffen). (I'd still like to see Steffen in more really competitive goal-pressured games.)

I’d be good with Jordan Morris. He gives maximum effort. But I’m totally sold on the Adams McKennie Musah midfield. Roll them out all day long.

Why in the world you send out Tim Ream and not give Chris Edwards a shot.

I dont think we have an experienced European based mf to fill that role. I think it ends up having to be filled by a vet MLS guy that Berhalter is familiar with. I think Lleget is probably best suited as an attacking MF though Roldan and Trapp are likely inclusions and will likely be the guys Berhalter goes with in qualifying.

Julian Green (24 yo) is a possibility. or some reason I keep thinkin Green is like as old as Beasly. lol

Moving Adams inside and Yedlin at back is possible too.

Acosta, Bedoya, Klejstan, Danny Williams are others that come to mind. I am not excited about them but I think they get a chance to play/contribute during qualifications.

With the amount of crap that has happened to Liverpool alone, I agree with you. The same amount of games after a one month off season is dumb and begs for injuries.

Jurgen Norbert Klopp. Thankful for him.

Sky Sports and most of the others in Europe cut off the part of his post match interview yesterday. NBC did not.

Klopp is a players manager, but not just HIS players. Absolutely fantastic point of view from him yesterday.

Plus the club performed tremendously without 6 first team regulars and bossed Leicester off the park for a 3-0 victory.

They looked great. Happy to see it. Jota has been awesome. That goal line clearance was absolutely ridiculous...thank goodness Berto finally got his goal towards the end.

And a clean sheet for Alisson with a makeshift back line. Pretty good.

Robertson was fantastic. Milner always shows up and when he moved to midfield, Neco was steady. Vardy was invisible, which is credit to Matip and Fabinho reading the game.

Naby injured again. lol time to ship him on. His wages havent been for playing but for training and rehab.

He was excellent until he went down. 25 and signed through 2023. I don't think he's going anywhere, but he's been very unlucky with injuries in a Daniel Sturridge type of rate.

Was beyond happy to see Bobby get a goal, finally, and if Mane were English or even Brazilian I'm fairly certain the rest of the world would be far more in love with him. Mane actually plays more Brazilian than Liverpool's Brazilians do. LOL.

Good little friendly earlier USA-W vs NED. US 2-0

Levelle had a very nice goal. Morgan had a few moments, but still getting back into shape. Williams was active but just not in synch, missing on several ops.

K Mewis made an appearance after a 6 year layoff to join her sister, and had a goal.

A few young players made their debut, including Sophia Smith. She's going to be a handful for years to come.

CR7 vs Messi is also McKennie vs Dest. There are 2 Americans starting in Barca vs Juve. 2 Americans starting is the same number of Spaniards that are starting for Barca and the same number of Italians starting for Juve.

Konrad De La Fuente on the bench too.

Yikes. PSG walked off with them apparently from what I am reading too. 4th official is from Romania.

He said "Negru" which is actually the Romanian word for Black (as in the color). But yeah an inexcusable thing to say and they were right to walk off.

ManU oh lawd. Ole has to be gone.

Club is an absolute shambles right now. Another pogba-Raiola saga, Ole is all over the place with the team selection and tactics, and you have the ever-looming Glazers who wont back any manager with the needed funds.

You could tell by the lineup they were playing for the tie. It's ridiculous, I would have guessed he would have gone with the same lineup that beat this team 5-0, but no. Give me Poch, I'd ask for the Glazers to be out, but we all know they won't leave.

If Ole's history with United (albeit short) is anything, we'll hammer City this weekend.
