Why do you think that is?

There is a Notre Dame type of relevance joke there. I just can't word it correctly.

All of these mid and lower table neutrals who were cheering City on for the last few weeks better hope these Trebles don't become pattern. It would be a shame to see the sponsorship money go away for them, which could happen if City continue to shred England every season in all three comps. I can't even begin to imagine how much they'll spend this summer to get that Champions League title they obviously want.

Scary proposition right now for the rest of the league. City has set the bar with 198 points in two years and a likely domestic treble. Liverpool have made back to back European Finals. Everyone else might want to start trying to keep the pace.

It's fine. If the boys win in Madrid, they'll be champions of Europe.

England can wait another year.

Utter disgrace having the Europa League Final in Baku. Logistical nightmare, easiest flight is 20 hours. Ticket allotments are negligible because "the airport can't handle it." Baku isn't even IN the small European portion of Azerbaijan. International relations (or lack thereof) means Mkhitaryan is in limbo. Man does UEFA must love that new oil money...

They had the UEFA Super Cup somewhere out that way a few years ago too. Completely stupid.

Europa League sucks. It's more punishment than anything, especially if you're in the Premier League.

"Hey, how's a Thursday night away match in the Ukraine sound? Then you go on the road to Burnley on Saturday...sound good?"

Honest, most (maybe all) of Arsenal's games were Sunday's after Europa League fixtures, so no difference than playing Wednesday/Saturday for CL.

England can wait another year.

They need to win that match. I think they will, provided they can slow down Son in the Spurs midfield. As long as Lamela does nothing to hurt them. If Kane plays, I'd question his match fitness, and VVD will be able to sort him out regardless.

Firmino will be back, too.

Interesting next year they'll have Ox and Keita back fully fit in the midfield. Fabinho appears sorted and adjusted to England. That will be big.. My assumption is they'll sell Mignolet, Lallana, Lovren, Grujic, Ojo and Clyne. In this crazy market they can get $80M for those guys. Do they keep Origi is the question. I think they should, but they need another guy up front who can play across the front three (Timo Werner, please). Origi is a nice squad guy but not versatile enough.

I'm curious to see what they do with Harry Wilson who is on loan at Derby County.

Julian Brandt is the DeBruyne type of attacking midfielder that could change their fortunes. They need a player like him to replace Coutinho in the #10 role.

Fullback coverage (a guy who can play both RB and LB) with another center half. They're 3-4 players away. Quality matters, not quantity.

The locations, the quality of the away pitches, you'd better believe there is a difference. Especially in the group stage.

Arsenal was brutal away this year, too.

Not denying that, but the time wasn't as bad as it could have been. Plus, let's not act like the same can't be said in the CL at times as well.

My understanding was than Brandt is more of a winger type?

I'm eager to see what they do with Wilson and Woodburn. If they are going to be Liverpool players, gotta start finding them some minutes. Timo Werner would be a huge get, he can play all across the front line I think.

Grujic has been linked to Atletico Madrid I believe. And my understanding is Pool thinks they can get some serious money for him. He may be very good, but dislodging Henderson/Fabinho is asking an awful lot.

Better money, better locations, better travel, better everything.

Europa is bad. It's sucked too many teams down their league tables in the past.

Yeah, again, not denying it. Just saying it has happened in the CL as well.

Brandt can play on both wings or in the #10 spot. He's just what they need.

There are some younger guys in the academy, particularly at fullback, who could be coming through down the line. Klopp likes Brewster quite a bit too. He was on the bench for Barca at Anfield.

Grujic can't get the work permit in England. My understanding is that is the issue with him.

I assume that City, Chelsea, PSG have very good lawyers. It's not going to matter what UEFA tries to do to them.

Financial Fair Play seems to be a very big joke.

Leeds and Derby are playing in the Playoffs to get to the Premier League. If anyone has seen The Damned United, or was a Prem fan 15+ years ago, wouldn't it be great to see these guys back in their rightful place?

Locomotive got bossed hard by Forward... felt like a ‘nah, we will pass on this shit’ moment,... but fun still. Think I’ll come back for the Galaxy game on the 8th

Leeds lost to Derby. I'm disappointed. Would have been cool to see them back.

Agree, very disappointing. Bielsa is such an intriguing character. I think the word among the punditry is that it's a situation that's similar to Spurs: Leeds are brilliant, but they just don't have the squad depth to play Bielsa's punishing, demanding style across a forty-six game season. Apparently they are absolutely knackered, which is why they faded a bit late season.

Let's hope the ownership back Bielsa with some funds this summer.

Derby celebrated like they already won something. Shithouse type stuff. Hoping Villa goes up.

Also hoping Harry Wilson returns from loan on Derby and makes Liverpool's squad next year. It appears to me that he deserves the shot. We'll see if Kloppo feels the same.

So I'm unawares... what's Leeds deal and why would it be (had been) a big story if they made it up??
