I'm telling you, missing out on Cl this year was a blessing for Celtic... another EL win today and they sit nicely atop their group. Anyone think Celtic would be moving through in CL?? With at least another round of games they won't miss too money either all said and done.

What the hell happened to Bolton, Blackpool and Fulham?? They are all sitting at the bottom of the Championship, Wigan too for that matter... and when the bloody hell is Not Forrest going to move back up?? It's been long enough lads.

Not sure about Bolton but I believe they had an aged team a few years back and it does not appear they reupped. Fulham slid after they sold Dempsey. They never really recovered since then. I have not followed Wigan recently after Martinez left for Everton.

For all of them to fall to the bottom of the Championship that quickly?? Damn son.

Qatar to be stripped of '22 WC?

Fifa President Sepp Blatter has reportedly told football executives that Qatar will be stripped of the 2022 World Cup.

The head of football's governing body allegedly told members of the Norwegian FA that "the 2022 World Cup won't take place in Qatar" at a dinner last month

Thought this quote was pretty rich coming from that douchebag prick:

Der Spiegel's source also claimed the 78-year-old called Qatar's rulers "arrogant" and said that "they think they're allowed to do anything with their money."

If they strip it, it'll almost certainly be awarded to us... where else could they send it?? England and Germany are the only two options that ware ready this late in the game and Germany recently hosted one.

It would have to go to us with how they rotate continents now... I guess you could give it to another Asian country but who can really support it besides Australia? They won't give it to the Koreas/Japan since they already had one in 2002. India would potentially be a cool choice as they are a budding footballing nation, but I do not see that as a viable option, yet.

The US seems like the only logical replacement since it can't go to any Euro/South American country.

Yeah, there aren't many places that have the infrastructure already in place or that could be ready by then to host. US would work just fine, but Blatter could blow it out his ass if he thinks we're building a fuck-ton of new stadiums and facilities at his whim.

Ireland ride their luck as late goals add gloss

Ireland beat USA 4-1 last night, mainly "B" teams for both sides and USA shaded the first half but Ireland finished strongly and tacked on two late goals.

the "B" team moniker seemed overblown to me. but i only saw the 2nd half.

and ireland looked good in attack, with speed and workrate. fun to watch. wonder if kevin mcgreskin's development approach is coming to fruition.

as for arsenal, wenger needs to go.

they started a totally different 11 to the team that played scotland days previously. Also they had multiple guys making their debuts. That's a "B" team in my eyes.

there were many epl reps on that ireland team, from what i recall. maybe their debut, but as far as experience playing top flight football, much better than good ole usa.

but i get your point and others saying "B" team. to me, they looked far from a "B" team. probably one of the most fun irish teams to watch.

anyone have ideas for uniform/club colors? i formed my own soccer club called Malvern United here in Philly for the Fall of 2015 and i'm working on all the details. i want to stay away from oranges and reds as there are so many clubs with those colors in the area. thanks.

black as the dominant color with the manchester city blue as the lesser one... look at NYCFC's jerseys for next season. Something like this would be filthy.

So glad we drew Monaco. Really thought we'd get Bayern.... again.
