This was not in my history of LFC dvds or my "Red Men" club biography.... I feel cheated....

Seriously though...Lampard and Gerrard in midfield. That does not work for England why whould it work Chelsea?

Because Chelsea doesn't play Italy.

Fat Frank would've been gone? They are terrible in a two person midfield together, so I can only assume Jose's 4-1-2-1-2 would've played one of them at CAM and one at L/R CM. Gerrard also played well from the right for LFC one year where he performed very well. Maybe Mou would've had him pinging in crosses for Drog? I donno but he had opportunities from Madrid, and Chelsea numerous times. He never left, even though he had everything done with Chelsea on at least one occasion.

A little surprised England didn't beat Ireland... I didn't get to watch it but it sounded like they had their chances.

In other news... Is Germany the World Cup favorite? I think so.

It's not that surprising with how bad this England team is. They'll be lucky to qualify for the WC.

Brazil should be the favorite. They've easily got the best backline in all of soccer, and their young talent is tough to match. The inevitable Spain-Brazil Confederations Cup championship will show how far the Brazil team has come since they played like *** in South Africa.

That is if one of them get by Argentina... They choke for the World Cup, but we'll see for the confederations cup.

I'd take USMNT's backline and keeper well over Argentina's... Just saying. I can't see Argentina winning a major tournament until they make a commitment to strengthening the defense

Shed loads of cash and living in ****ing Monaco I'd imagine...

No income tax too. AS Monaco is allegedly trying to reclaim some past glories too (in other words - they are going to spend a s-load of $ to try to keep up w/PSG).

That's exactly what they are doing. Monaco has roughly 35k people. They don't have a global brand, and the fan base is paltry compared even with Ligue One clubs. FFP is all talk. I'm fine with FFP not being implemented, because who am I to tell a billionaire what to do with their money? My only issue is that it's pretty disingenuous for UEFA to talk this big game and then do nothing. I'm totally fine with protecting clubs and their supporters from leveraged buyouts and asset-stripping, but in the end, if someone wants to spend their own money to buy a CL or League Cup, then who am I to complain?

Forgot to add Brazil and England play tomorrow, last time they played England beat them 2-1 in February in England. This one is in Rio, so we shall see tomorrow!

USA and Germany tomorrow. I would be thrilled with a result... lol. Idk, Klinnsman usually manages to pull Ws out of his *** in these types of games.

Yep, and then he'll lose to Jamica...

Not disputing that at all. Just gotta hope they play well today and that momentum will carry into their next three group matches because these matches will determine if they qualify(they better...)

Where they stand now I don't see how they don't get a top four spot... Its not like theyre horrible... The point in Mexico City saved their backside

And honestly CONCACAF is designed for the USA and Mexico to qualify haha. Like I said earlier, I would love for Mexico to get the fourth spot and then lose in the playoff... It would be sweet justice.

It seems like every game the US team gets a head they always take their foot off the gas and it gets ugly

Really impressed by Jones and Bradley. They controlled the pace and were great with possession. Jones did great attacking as well.

Not concerned by giving up 2 late goals after a bunch of subs.

Since when does Germany wear green?

For a while, I remember their green jerseys from 94, it was green, then on top checkered red, yellow, and white. Pretty sweet back then.

Anybody care to try to explain how that just happened?

A confident Jozy Altidore is a dangerous weapon... Match that with Clint Dempsey. Watch out. This is the type of confidence that this team needs to play with all the time. I want at least 7 points in these next 3 matches...

Graham Zusi looked like he was playing against Columbus today, not Germany. I was extremely impressed with his play.

England and Brazil are tied.

Wish I could watch this instead of following it on ESPN..
