Seems like Steve Cooper is out at Forest as well. They were absolutely embarrassed at Fulham last night
When I see Steve Cooper, my first thought always is, "This is the stereotypical soccer player/coach that I always thought of as a child in the 90s."

I've always liked Valencia and thought Emery did well there, which was early in his career. Left on his own terms too after securing them Champions League by finishing third in La Liga.

He'd never beaten Guardiola until yesterday.

As an Arsenal fan, Emery was just the wrong guy at the wrong time. He is clearly a talented manager, he was before Arsenal, he was with Arsenal, he is now with Villa. He just came to Arsenal during the banter years, with no direction. What he was able to accomplish with that 22(?) game unbeaten streak is truly miraculous. What he is doing with Villa is super impressive.

I was nervous for this weekend against them before, now... OH BOY.
So glad to see a fellow Gunner on here

Crazy story today on tomorrow's NCAA semifinal game between ND and Oregon St. OSU's midfielder Armas played in their quarterfinal game after accrueing 8 yellow cards this season, a violation of NCAA rules. NCAA suspended the coach and midfielder for 4 and 2 games, respectively. So they aren't on the trip.

It's come crashing down pretty hard to say the least.

Big Ange is pretty naive if he thinks he doesn't have to change tactics. Still feels like they've been involved in some of the more entertaining matches in England this year.

he never did @ Celtic and I would presume it was the same in Japan or Oz. He just needs a bigger squad with more depth. He will be fine but yeah if i was a spurs fan i'd take all of this. It's better to die trying than just sit around dying a slow death like they have been

If the squad is the issue, it makes more sense to make some tactical adjustments doesn't it? They haven't won a match in over a month. One point out of 15 in their last five. They're out of the League Cup. They're not playing midweek European football. It's a pretty fierce top half of the table. December is the time of year when fixtures are very congested in England.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This season appears to be a bit more open than most in England. City sit 4th six points off of the top. The other clubs can structure and manage their season long term to stay in the race. Nobody wins anything in October.

ND men are title bound!

Anxiously awaiting @Independent Powerhouse ’s breakdown of the win over the vaunted Beavers
They played poorly compared to the Indiana game...should be a good game vs Clemson

Actually they were on the trip. Midfielder was on the sidelines and coach was in the first row of seats.

Not much of a suspension if you ask me

How about Villa? Go ahead.

Gotta think ETH is on the way out. I hate to see it because I like him as a coach but Bournemouth went into the ToD and whipped their asses and they haven’t been in the best form either. Locker room drama to boot? Why was Luke Shaw at CB and not Varane?

If the weather’s decent, I’m tempted to drive down to Louisville to see our lads bring home the NC.
they said near the end of the game i believe that if our irish won that the university was going to bus down students and fans to the championship game.

There are rumors flying around that he purposely got that yellow so he didn’t have to play Liverpool.
He absolutely did it on purpose. He's a terrible captain and is in general a twat of a person. When he's not crying to a referee, he's moping around like a quitter when the going gets tough. THAT is who you want leading your club?

Watching Man United and Chelsea lose really makes for a good weekend. Can't wait to see who their next sucker managers are going to be.

The cherry on top was Frankfurt pummeling Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Very solid weekend.

Spurs have been amazing to watch this year, I don't get the angst about Ange's tactics at all. It's 10000% due to injuries and I love the way they've played even still. Just ripped Newcastle to pieces yesterday, feels pretty good.

He was Premier League Manager of the Month in November. LOL.

Yesterday was their first victory in over a month. In spite of all the injuries, no adjustments. Just keep doing the same thing over and over.

They faced Newcastle, a team who is also incurring multiple injuries to their squad, at home and finally stopped the bleeding.

Whatever. What do I know? 1 point from five matches up until Newcastle is beautiful to some people. To each their own I guess.

Lol right? Im not saying that its just Im seeing ManU fans calling for his sacking are growing. Losing 3-0 at home to Bournemouth is something else. They got Bayern midweek and then Liverpool at Anfield on the weekend. Bruno subbed himself out of the Liverpool game already as well...lol

Also a Spurs fan. The last couple years have just been torture. Suffering through some really ugly soccer without getting positive results is such an abysmal fan experience. I think we were all so ready for change, that there is a ton of patience in waiting for the system to finally click throughout the club. It's not where we want want to be, but finishing outside of the top six while also not being very entertaining has this fan base in a weird place.

Maybe don't panic after a bad month (that wasn't even that bad!) and let Ange keep working his system?

Wolves was the only really bad game recently. Played damn well with 1, then 2 red cards against Chelsea. Outplayed Villa, drew City, outplayed West Ham even worse, and yesterday's blowout win.

He's way ahead of schedule and has so many players stepping up and playing with fire--it's been impressive to watch. I think his system fits Spurs and I'm not worried about changing his tactics to grind out a win 4 months into his tenure.

They're garbage. Look at the fixtures. League wins in November: 1-0 Fulham, 1-0 Luton Town, 3-0 Everton. Manager of the Month?

Papering over the cracks with uninspired victories over mid table fodder, completely useless against City and Newcastle, leaking goals at historic rates in Champions League. Mike Tyson once said everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Punch Man United in the mouth, then look at their body language. When things don't go their way, they fold at the first sign of adversity. Just look at who their captain is and how he's conducted himself since arriving at the club.

Now, with all of this being said, they'll probably go into these next two matches against Bayern and Liverpool with a sense of urgency. If they get punched in the mouth within the first 20 minutes, how they respond will be interesting.

Onana is an absolute howler in goal, too.
