I forwarded those to my cousin. He was dying and said the same about number 1!I would have believed the first one
Conte seems difficult to work with and picks clubs that are known to be difficult to work with. Really thought he had a good thing going with Inter when they won the title, but he left there by "mutual consent" because he butted heads over transfers. He's the Italian Mourinho. He'll give you two or three years, a couple of trophies and enough headaches that you'll want him gone.
53 years old and he's managed eight clubs already. Plus the Italian National Team. He basically asked for this.
I don't disagree about Tottenham. What he's saying is true. Based on the fact that everyone knows who and what they are as well as have been for years, Conte had to have known this going into taking the job just as he did Chelsea and Inter. Why would things be different for him at these clubs compared to what they were for those who preceded him?I will say this about Conte and his comments. Everything that he has said, Spurs mans having been moaning about for ages. He lacks the charisma and subtle nature that Poch had, but the message was the same. ENIC and Levy have produced next to nothing in terms of silverware. At some point, it has to become "it's me and not you," for the management. But as long as Spurs are collecting massive revenue via the new stadium, concerts, fights, etc, ENIC doesn't care. Fair consistent CL money furthers his stinginess.
As most fans of floundering clubs do, I yearn for new ownership that will instill a proper plan. Back the manager, see his vision, and allow it to happen. Liverpool trusted Klopp and they yielded massive success. Arsenal stuck with their plan and Arteta seems likely to give them their first title in years. United are backing Ten Hag in a major way (esp in the Ronaldo saga) and they have achieved tangible success in a short time and are in for two more trophies.
At some point, you have to let the manager work and provide him with the appropriate tools to realize his vision. It is like the old Parcelles line, “If they want you to cook the dinner, at least they ought to let you shop for some of the groceries.”
Just a random thought.
You think any big clubs will be interested? Can you imagine being able to pick up Gavi on a free?
Didn't know he retired TBH. Smart move by all here.Wrexhams #1 goalkeeper got injured and is done for a while. Wrexham signs Ben Foster.
SIGNED | Ben Foster signs until end of season
Wrexham AFC are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Ben Foster until the end of the season.www.wrexhamafc.co.uk
Hope so. I’d hate to see Wrexham fall out of promotion at this point. I think a good bit of the soccer fandom is rooting for them to get promoted.Didn't know he retired TBH. Smart move by all here.
They are three points up with a match in hand. They've lost two matches in their league all season. 8 fixtures left.Hope so. I’d hate to see Wrexham fall out of promotion at this point. I think a good bit of the soccer fandom is rooting for them to get promoted.
I bought a membership to watch their games. Ollie Palmer and Mullins are so good. Haha. Their defense is VERY VERY prone to giving up goals though so no lead is safe with them. They are three points up with a match in hand. They've lost two matches in their league all season. 8 fixtures left.
Ted Lasso and Wrexham are pulling a lot of people into the world football fold. It's pretty crazy.
Paul Mullin wasn't wanted by Liverpool or Everton. There's your underdog story in the drop of a hat. That's the stuff that captivates American audiences and draws interest.I bought a membership to watch their games. Ollie Palmer and Mullins are so good. Haha. Am I the only one rooting against Wrexham? I’m a huge fan of Rob Mcelhenney, not so much Ryan Reynolds, but just feel it’s cheap publicity they get to launch this 47th division team up. They have a transfer deficit of $1.5 million, while second place Notts has a $69k net. They shouldn’t get a pass of spending their way up just because they’re funny. I guess I’m the backdrop of the oil Shahs overrunning the Oremier league it’s not a big deal though. They are three points up with a match in hand. German clubs require so much stability in terms of financials and such, I'm surprised how quick Bayern (and others) are to pull the plug on managers.Tuechel to Bayern? Nagelsman fired?
