Super young, decent amount of plying time for Valencia the last two seasons. He was the Joe Scally of last year, as in surprising breakout player in the Top 5 leagues. Started real well the first half of last season, even earning a new contract before really falling off the 2nd half of the year.

Probably one of the highest potentials in the American pool for CM/RM.

Shouldn’t matter,… we controlled the ball and we 1v1 with the goalie and the defender came through the back and took our player down,… his touching the ball really doesn’t matter

Yea I’m down on Zardes. Would much rather have seen Pefok this window. The only other striker I want to see out there is Hope. Hell, I wouldn’t mind see Weah play the 9 but he’s too valuable with our lack of wings.

Arriola has been more good than bad today, but he is useless in the attack. His first touch ruins any chance of making something happen. He also has complete ignored Dest and Moores runs along the line.

Leyton Orient isn't even on ESPN 35 Plus right now let alone 20 years ago. I think the most obscure club I know of than an American supports is Southampton. I know a handful of Newcastle fans but one of them is from Tyneside and the other two are American.

I know a bunch of Fulham fans because of the US contingent throughout the years.

If I was choosing a team now that wasn't top 4, but had good ownership, ambition, and excitement, I would probably go with Wolverhampton.

FTR my travel soccer coach for four years in middle to HS (early 90s) was a Scouser who moved to US for work and he would use tapes of Liverpool games sent to him from his family back in Liverpool to show us how to play. Lol. I wasn’t able to watch many games after that because it just wasn’t available but he put Liverpool on the map to me.
