Did anyone else have a bird egg collection as a kid?
Pretty much every kid in my small town had a bird egg collection. Thankfully I don't think any of us did much damage except to the easy to get to over populated birds and collectively did less damage than the average local feral cat population.
I've been into birding ever since.

Tudor Electric Football was up for the Strong Museum Toy Hall of Fame today... lost out to the Magic 8 Ball:

Kind of silly but,... Here were the finalists this year:

When you read the next line, read it as though Norm McDonald is saying it to you:

Hopefully it got more votes than... chalk.

Been wanting a shuffleboard table for years... not much of a bar hopper but if a bar has a nice SB table I'm all in for hours.

Finally got one for my new loft and it's being delivered today. Super Hype.

Moves down to the border, now has room for a 22' table... in his loft. The only thing longer than that table is the 50' tunnel leading out of the trap door under the tub.

You go Pablo.

Ha, it's not a full size 22... though I do have a pub down the street with a 22... I got a 14 footer, should fit perfectly.

Played yesterday morning watching the start of the tourney... enough that my guide fingers a lil sore today.

I'm an odd ball... everyone is like, "Let's go shoot some pool!!"

I'm like, "Is that a shuffleboard table!?!?!"

I now have my custom electric football board, my raspberry pi with all the old school games and a SB table... I'm set.

I've only played shuffleboard a few times, not enough bars have them. Have enjoyed though. Congrats on the new toy

My electric football league got a new team. I only have one real team in my league but figured a throwback to the Oilers would be cool:

Do you do the painting/graphic applications yourself?

Have you found any new friends in EP to play with your lil dolls yet?

I do the field graphics and paint all my other teams... this oilers team i had the guy that built my board do it... obviously came out great.

There is actually a pretty thriving community and there was a league near me in Cali that asked me to join (https://laefl.com/) but I'm a loner. There are leagues all over the country and national tournaments every year but I'm not into it competitively like that. I prefer to just play with my family or by myself rather than be obligated on certain weekends and such. I do communicate with a number of those guys though and it's how I found the guy that built my board and customized this Oilers team, he runs a league in Southern Missouri.

I added another team to even things up... this one I used the base classic Falcons from Tudor football from the 70s (had them collecting dust for years now) and just touched them up a little bit. The 70s Tudor teams were all roughly hand painted and always have some interesting paint jobs. I then painted the white defensive unit to match and created the helmet logo.

I bring you, the Las Cruces Crusaders:

I'd like to be the sole corporate sponsor of the team! Tell the players & the officials:

Sixers of Anderson Valley Gose for every victory over the stinkin Oilers but on the first loss, they'll be sold to the NM Powder Puff League, painted & renamed the Carlsbad Cavegirls.

Anyone into board games much?? My wife and I do puzzles and play Catan whenever we can find someone to play with us. We just picked up Horrified (Based on all the Hammer Horror films) and Jaws from Target this past weekend. Our girls played Jaws with us and it was pretty fun once we all got the hang of it. I was Quint and was giving my youngest (who was Hooper) all kinds of typical grief, of course I died at the end, lol... Looking forward to trying Horrified this weekend.

Side: So this is my buddy that does a lot of my fields and such... he's been everywhere lately as the guy that made "Decibel Up" and leading a bunch of fan groups/gatherings... you may have seen him in the build up to the run or live during KC games... lol. MAJOR Electric Football guy too.

Camp,

So yesterday, IE's top banner ad was from ebay and it featured electric football sets.

They are tracking your every move.

So with the lock down I decided to kill time by going through some of my old stuff this weekend...

I didn't quite realize/forgot that I have a pretty large sports card collection from my youth hidden in an upstairs closet. Probably more than 30,000 individual cards when you add in the complete sets.

Curious if anyone still keeps up on the value of cards by chance? If so, how do I find it...did I hit the jackpot, please? :) Back in the day I (parents I should say) used to just by a Beckett but I'm not sure if it works that way anymore. I googled and found a site that is slow as fudge and not sure how reliable. It lists quite a few of these selling north of $200 a piece.

I didn't get through them all yet, but some notable gems I found include Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens and a couple Griffey Jr. rookie cards. I found like 5 Deion Sanders rookies. Another is a Fernando Venzuela card that had sold (per the site) for $500.
