Pepe scored a beauty. Portugal looks really solid but just got away with one they should have received a red card IMO but mireles only got a yellow. To me it looked like the Danes would have had a breakaway had it not been for that hand

I am sure Ronaldo is a beast but since I watch few Spanish la liga games and he hasn't done much internationally I don't understand the hype around him. Obviously he is a beast but he doesn't perform when it matters it seems at least not yet

The dude is ridiculous. A very special all around talent. The only reaon he is not more hyped is because of Messi (probably the greatest player in the modern era). I'm pretty sure he has several Premiere League titles, though I am unsure of Champions League titles. He has won the league with Real Madrid as well. Ronaldo is eveything I love and despise in a footballer. He is a total baby on the field but the man is a killer too.

He can't just hug the post there and you can't kick it any harder than that from that distance. Sometimes the goalie just can't get there.

Actually IMO he should have been hugging the post. W/ Varela's position after missing once and the fact that there was a defender in front of him he should have expected near post

EDIT: Just watched the replay, varela went w/ his right foot and was turned towards the right , goalie should have saved it

The goalie was also lackadaisical and didnt expect a shot

They also needs a keeper switch. The last one he let in is disgraceful. Gomez had no angle that the keeper would need to fall like that IMO it was bizarre but then again the dutch defense looks like ours in 2009

Krul should definitely be starting over Stekelenberg. MAybe they should just go all out attack now? Maybe a 0-5-5 ( no defenders????) They have nothing to lose now.
