Ok folks, I just wanted to compile a list of all of the EE's this year
I know Lynch, Williams, and Golson
I thought there were a couple more.
Could anyone enlighten me as to whom the EEs of this recruiting cycle are?

Carrico and Brindza

Good, I thought Brindza was an EE I but wasn't sure. UM had a kicker decommit today in favor of Miami and would hate to see UM give him attention...especially since his former high school teammate Beyer is committed to UM.

Thanks Kpenn.
I love it that Longo will have some time to get these guys built up a bit ahead of schedule.

Brindza leaving would be like George Patton defecting to the Nazis. It's just not going to happen regardless if UM writes him a check.

Is tomorrow the first day of classes? Was thinking the dorms opened today so all of the EE's should be on campus today?

What are the advantages to a kicker enrolling early? Wouldn't he end up redshirting anyway?

I probably don't know as much about Brindza as others here but I do know that Plymouth (my hometown) is about 5 miles from Ann Arbor. Add to that MI's kicker decommitted today and MI's kickers were terrible last year, you can see my cause for concern.

Good to hear he's solid and that he is on campus!

Michigan was all over Kyle before he committed to Notre Dame. He was Irish then and he's not going anywhere.

I love the fact that we are picking up kids that are 10 minutes from Michigan's campus. Gotta love the net that Notre Dame casts

I believe, I could be wrong he was an actual Michigan commit before he was commited to us. Like I said I could be wrong, not trying to start a rumor that he is going to MICHIGAN, so let's not get that rumor started, just trying to remember fact.

Think they've been standing around long enough, let's crack those books guys! HA HA

Brindza is a pretty big kid, maybe he's a fullback too.

In this case it keep him from being a Wolverine. UM was in dire straits for kicker for the '10 season. In early April they approached Brindza and suggested with the HS work he has already completed it was possible for him to graduate from HS in Michigan as a Junior and play for UM in Sept 2010.

Not sure but I think it was Elston that got credit for locating him for ND. Two weeks after UM offered, ND offered. A week after that Brindza committed to ND. Shortly there after he and his parents reflected on the ramifications of so early an arrival on a college campus. He's a good student but not the child prodigy that enters college at 15.

He made the decision to graduate in December of his Senior Year and enroll in ND in January.

ND has a kicker in Ruffer who took over from Tausch who has an excellent record as a Place Kicker. Brindza also has a 48+ yd punting average which is 10+ yds better than our current punter. AND he routinely hits the endzone or kicks through it on kick offs so when he plays Div 1 ball and has to kick off from 10 yds further back he should still be able to reach the endzone are close to it.

For those of you new to this site there's a wealth of information that NDinLA, ThePolishIrishman, TerryTate and others have compiled on ND recruits Take some time and scan through the profiles, Great Stuff!

It was reported way earlier on this site that Brindza was willing to give up his EE if Kelly needed it for someone else---THAT'S a H*LLUVA commitment!!! Kyle probably just wants to get some credits under his belt before football starts eating his time. As a second [for me anyway] "Hoot": check out Aaron's sweat shirt---Dude's got a sense of humor. [even if that's his HS nickname, "GATORS" blaring off his chest strikes me funny.]

Even though it's the high school mascot, maybe that is just irony, or maybe it is an object lesson. No territory is safe -- there is a new sheriff in town!
