Even without Edwards and Limar, it’s a pretty stacked room.

How is it a stacked room??? He and the staff just lost 2 out of 3 of his RB recruits. Meanwhile, he is negotiating NIL deal with OU for his son - which of course sounds like a job distraction. (Another interesting part maybe the NIL deal with OU probably does not comport with ND's NIL Policy which is also not a good look for a Position Coach to be negotiating).

Then his kid texts our only 5-Star Commit left to decommit and join him at OU.

I think its problematic, screwy within that family, and just fucked up. Freeman should be having some concerns here.

You don't think a rb room with Estime, Diggs, Price, and Love is stacked?

For now.

All it takes is one bad recruiting cycle and an unhappy with his playing time transfer for the RB room to look like the WR room.
It needs to be addressed every year.

Not really. You can land zero running backs in a year and be fine. There are at a basic level more WRs on the field then RBs. RBs are also way more replacement level.

No. Not compared to what it was. 1 RB recruit and two veterans and hurt returning RS Frosh is typical for a Top 10 team. That might be good for you but I would hardly say its "stacked"

It was stacked and we lost 2 out of 3 recruits. Its a decent room.

Let's put it this way, he is not as bad as Rees last year not taking a QB Transfer...LOL. But no its not a "stacked" room.

Things are not always what they seem or reported. Maybe his son didn’t have the academic requirements to get into ND. Maybe because of that Deland is just trying to do what’s best for his son. Also, the tweeting at Bowen is fine by me because he is just trying to create a great chance at a championship for the team he is going to.

Dale, I've been agreeing with all your posts for weeks now and then you do this to me?
We've got to get back on the same page man!

If anything, it shows a lack of respect for Freeman from both father and son. Dmc won't be long in south bend. 1 more year tops.

Are you on retainer by Deland? Just curious.

His kid texting Bowen is asinine and embarrassing. Makes ND look fucking stupid.

How do we know DMC and MFMF didn't have a transparent conversation in which it was disclosed that his son would like to chase the bag - both parties knowing full well ND wasn't going to offer one. Mutual decision to not pursue each other. Granted, I think it's classless to be tweeting at a (maybe?) still ND recruit while either at or having just left the ND team banquet, but I digress. We've seen worse...

Zero issue with Pops helping negotiate terms on behalf of his son who needs to establish his own line of credit eventually.

There’s also a chance Pops knows the son isn’t the best when it comes to school so don’t bring him to a school where education matters.

Father first, coach second.

Seems like a giant F-U to ND and MFMF , I can't see MF being happy about this. I could be wrong, but what message is this sending?

At the same time, I hope MF points to this as a wake up call to ND in the whole NIL game.

I understand what you are saying to a degree. Hypocritical coaching job though. Screwing other coaches why you your self are a coach.

Not gonna make many friends that way.

Without knowing the true details, I’m assuming he didn’t disrespect any coach. What is he supposed to do if he knows his son is biting off more then he can chew trying to negotiate a NIL deal?

At the end of the day, the only opinion that matters is MF. If MF has no issue, I have no issue.

Maybe pops knows the truth that Bowen is sticking and his son is just making a good show for OU?

IDK, I think Dasan just watched his dad leave IU after Dasan assumed he would get to play where his dad coached. Why would Dasan not just forge his own path after seeing that happen?

Granted, the part I don’t understand is why that would lead him to OU. I truly don’t understand why any person would want to go to a very subpar university, in the middle of nowhere, playing for a mediocre to subpar team.

He gets to go there and be the man if he’s good enough, instead of just another body.
