Gameplan isn’t an issue. It’s drops, fumbles, and a QB missing opportunities. Players need to step up and nobody on offense has. Plenty of open options to at least get more than 3 on the board.

You are correct...the stage is too large. God forbid we show up to a big game.

Third down play calling on the last couple of drives has me literally sick (I just got back from the bathroom). I mean, we have "trees" on the outside (commentator's words, not mine), yet we run on third and ten from mid-field.

Nutshell of why ND is down 3 TDs after playing a good first quarter:

Donte Vaughn gave up two touchdowns in that quarter. He could have played through the end of the play a bit more aggressively but that was a great catch.

Exactly...play through the ball...I mean that's like pop Warner shit. It comes from attitude...physically the kid can play corner...but he is too passive...he literally pushed himself out of the play...

We were winning the line of scrimmage in the first quarter. I dont understand why we stopped blitzing. Also offensive playcalling has been pretty poor

The second quarter of today's game has been a bit brutal, but man, what a fun season.
It's been a pleasure.

If we are going to keep up and have a chance we just need to lower our standards and do what all of the other money mongering whores do.

It’s funny, but we probably need to have a discussion about dropping the academic requirements or dropping to D2. This riding the fence stuff where we want to have it both ways is myopic. I’m fine either way, but some kind of decision needs to be made.

Losing love killed us. Hopefully we can get a turnover on this first drive and get some momentum.

One guy shouldn't be the demise of the entire team. Clemson lost ol' steroid DL and are somehow still boat racing ND. No excuses, these 2 teams are just on 2 different planes in terms of the overall product they're putting on the field. ND is like a luxury apartment with a few extravagant amenities, and Clemson is the mansion from Cribs. Bama owns an entire island.

A lot of Notre Dame fans have their heads so far up their asses that they honestly think that Notre Dame is somehow hated by ESPN or the national media and it's such horse shit. If ESPN could choose, the playoff every year would be Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas.

ESPN and the national media has hated ND since ND got the NBC contract.

ESPN "choosing ND for a playoff doesn't negate the animosity. It would be based solely on TV sets tuned it.

But you keep sucking up to your employer. It fits you.

The fair-weather fans are out in force. We may lose this game, but this team has given us a great season. Trashing Coach Kelly and various members of the team at half-time of what could be the final game of the season is no way to thank them for a wonderful season. I, for one, will be cheering them on in the second half hoping for one of those historic Notre Dame comebacks. If it doesn't happen, I will be thankful that players like Alohi Gilman, Jerry Tillery, Tevon Coney, Drue Tranquill, Sam Mustipher, Dexter Williams, Brandon Wimbush, Ian Book, Myles Boykin, Julian Love, and so many others chose to make Notre Dame their home. Winning a Natty takes a great team and some lucky breaks along the way. This team has gotten to where they are by determination and hard work. That will always be there. Now we need some lucky breaks and a couple of game-changing plays. Go Irish.

I've enyojed the season. I'm not bashing anyone. I think we've been outcoached in the 2nd quarter

I ignore listed that clown a long time ago. This board is a better experience if you do that.

In case you haven’t been watching the guy that replaced love gave up two touchdowns, but go ahead and make silly comparisons.

Now, when this gets reversed, it's not because anyone hates us. It's because that's the correct football rule.

Standing by for this to get overturned and the blowhard "expert" to come on and say it's not a catch.

THEY WERE RIGHT. We're getting fucking slaughtered. You can't say "Herbstreit is such a shit analyst because he says Notre Dame is going to get blown up" if Notre Dame does, in fact, get blown up. That means he's actually a good analyst and us idiots in this board are just know-nothing homers.

I could give two shits about my employer. I work there because I like Disney benefits, they pay me good money, and I go home in time for dinner with the family. I'm so fucking sick of this allegation that I can't have an opinion because I drive to work in Bristol.

That is not a interception

Dude I fucking watch it every day. The corner offices at ESPN are decidedly PRO Notre Dame.
