I knew it was going to be a pro-ND crowd, but this would be absolutely insane.

0042460-gvqd-720X720.jpg

If the crowd is projected to total 82,000 (the same amount as the prior playoff matchup in 2015), then ND would have just under 64,000 fans to Clemson's 18,000. Almost an 80/20 split.

It would essentially be a glorified home game for us.

Without our jackass ushers telling us to keep it down and take a seat.

No Italics.

Edit: The ushers have gotten more relaxed about ND Stadium and ramping up the crowd noise. But I still hold my ground, there are still a few bad eggs wearing yellow in the House that Rockne Built.

On the bright side, ND would really have to lay an egg to have the worse CFP performance in its short history. Here are the biggest losses thus far:

2014: Oregon 59 FSU 20
2015: Clemson 37 OU 17
2015: Alabama 38 MSU 0
2016: Clemson 31 tOSU 0
2016: Alabama 24 UW 7
2017: Alabama 24 Clemson 6

The last two don’t look so bad when you look at the score but UW never threatened in the 2nd half in ‘16 & Clemson never threatened as all last year w/ Kelly Bryant at the helm.

Poor Sparty is so irrelevant that most casual fans forget they were completely outclassed vs Bama.

Venebles has taken Lawrence out of bowl prep reps, preparing for 2 man rotation at DT.

I get it's ~95% certain the B matches the original sample.

If it doesn't, though, he's automatically eligible for Saturday, correct?

No, he has to have a clean test first before he can return.my confusion comes at whether the B sample was taken same day as A -- which I'm pretty confident it was which is why it makes sense that A and B most always match. And the other part is if they received news on 12/24, took a test that day and sent it for a review --giving them 6 days to get results back provided the B comes back negative as they hope it does or if they have to wait to hear about B first before testing clean.

If former theres a slim chance they play, 6 days is a tight window especially with holidays. If later, then I'd say based on 1120am on a thursday they have 0 chance of retesting clean in time for saturday

From my understating the NCAA Offices are closed until after the first of the new year. So even if his B results come in clean today, there's no one at the NCAA offices to lift the suspension.

B sample will come back clean, but he will receive news that he is pregnant, and at that point, the medical staff may keep him out for health reasons.

B would be clean, no?

Hes saying there is a 95% chance B will match original, so it does not look like it could possibly be clean, unless something fishy happens

Right I think B is taken same day as A and is only used if A is positive to rule out some kind of contamination in the container of A.

This would be shitty if true... if it's a false positive then any kid should have the right to play immediately or the NCAA should get the results back quicker to ensure theres enough time to follow procedure.

3 guys from same team is pretty damning though. If it was just him, MAYBE it was a false positive, but looks positive, even though it may not have been intentional

Don't believe that's true. If B sample comes back negative I'm pretty sure he will be able to play.

Agreed and I find it more disturbing that Clemson offers up excuses to justify Lawrence but not the other two. The one excuse i saw was a float tank that the DL loves... but that doesn't explain the other two or why none of the other DL tested positive

This is the QU I'm asking. I get it's likely moot, but if B comes back clean, auto-play?

I wouldn't think the NCAA would have to gather around the round table to make him eligible. You'd think it's just a phone call and a signed piece of paper, cut and dry.

I don't think he should be out if B is clean.

In that SI article, Mustipher said he is skeptical, and will BELIEVE IT WHEN HE SEES IT, if DL is out.

Yeah this is true. But I've still heard a few bad stories recently from other forums and friends/relatives.

I almost got kicked out once for trying to get my section the *uck up on a 3rd and long play. It was back in the Weis era. He told me to sit down and stop disturbing the others in attendance...

bruh. We are at a football game. Not a living room. The night games under BK have been pretty stellar crowds, though. This is where I've noticed the biggest improvement.

I'm pumped for those who are heading down to Dallas; bring the noise and give the boys a little "home field" advantage!

Plus, plenty of $12 brews to be had at Jerry's World to stoke the crowd. BTW, gorgeous day here in Dallas after flooding and severe storms yesterday. Cooler this weekend.

So basically, try, try again until you succeed...or get dang lucky right?

So a "sliver" of the illegal drug that has no natural way of being in your system...isnt that kind of being a little pregnant? So you either are or are not.

Fact is, this isnt like a side effect from eating a piece of chicken. Only would get this if he took the drug. It isnt naturally occurring.

This is a joke. He wouldnt have gotten caught if he wasnt taking it.

Yet another BS play by a college coach.

And in other Semifinal action... and beyond

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nc...range-bowl/ar-BBRpcFy?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U452DHP

Three suspended Alabama players, including starting left guard Deonte Brown, will be out beyond Saturday's College Football Playoff semifinal game against Oklahoma at the Orange Bowl, coach Nick Saban says.

Brown, tight end Kedrick James and offensive lineman Elliot Baker will be suspended for the CFP National Championship, should Alabama win Saturday, and “maybe beyond” because of NCAA violations, Saban announced Thursday morning.

Wow, that’s impressive considering Clemson’s fanbase. The cynic will say that Clemson is saving up for the NC game in San Francisco.

The two Clemson fans I know down here are indeed waiting.

Heading to Dallas this afternoon. I am pumped.

Go Irish!

enjoy J! happy holidays!

still wondering if they drug tested all the players, and on both teams, or they just did random test.

Its random selection of players for an institution, not everyone. The rules arent clear if it's both teams or just a true random selection. But it can even happen multiple times in the post season. In CFB that could be a test in the semis and then a test again before the championship. But it's very random.... I would assume both teams would have to comply but I cant find anything that spells it out

i wish a random positive would trigger testing for the entire team. i'd bet there's a lot more using the same shampoo.

If there’s THREE guys on one team testing positive for the same banned substance (that isn’t naturally occurring btw), then the rest of their team should be tested if possible. This smells of something that may be a program issue....... I am pretty disappointed in Dabo on this though with his statements after the results became public. That tells me that he knows how important the big DL is to their team.

espn just showed media interviews with Dabo and Lawrence. Lawrence acted innocent, and Dabo made him out to be as pure as the driven snow.

espn said B results would be back later today. they made no mention of the other 2 using the same shampoo.....

If they do use the same shampoo, does it mean they take "group showers"?
