I’m trying my best not to be an a$$hole, and just enjoy the fact our defense is playing their heart out and we’re beating a top 10 team handily at the half, but I just can’t not see how inept Riley looked at throwing the ball downfield that entire half and not be very worried about how realistic a run in this playoffs is for this program.

I get that it is not ideal conditions, but that was a tough watch.

My guess is coaching is telling him to keep it simple, and take what they’re giving us…but since we went up 14-0 he has looked really bad.

You're right. RL has looked like absolute garbage after the last TD.

Get back to the boundary runs off tackle. Once Indiana starts bringing the safety up for support then RL will have the seams to throw to. Thought that’s what the Irish would do after the second TD but two poor series by the OC kinda hurt that.

Well that is what I mean by inept.
He doesn’t even look for it, and obviously hardly even attempts it.
It’s all good.
We’re up 17-3, and about to get ball.
I’m just more worried long term.

Great first half for the Irish.

Indiana has their back against the wall. I have a feeling that defensively, Indiana will come out playing with their ears pinned back and will be blitzing their ass off. They will try to create total havoc and hope for short 3 and outs or a turnover.

This would be a good time to hit them with some quick out passes or a few screens. I think ND can bust them on that and it'll force to keep them honest.
