I don't know where to start, but this is horrible. what is going on? Our team seems to be spiraling out of control, this isn't even baseball anymore. Getting swept by the astros? I just needed to vent, I don't know how much more non-competitive baseball I can take. We better fire that bum Hendry this year.

Have at it.

I think the cubs need to just hit the reset button. Fire everyone and just start over from the beginning.

The team has no talent. It's that simple. It reminds me of my Nationals without good up-and-coming pieces that could make us competitive in 2012 if Strasburg is healthy.

I feel bad for Starlin Castro. The good news? You might grab Pujols...

The game on Tuesday just about summarizes our season. Down 0-1 and put up 3 runs in the bottom of the eight to take the lead, in good shape with Marmol coming inl. Marmol gives up 6 earned runs in the top of the ninth without getting a single out. I think the final score was 9-3. Not sure I shut it off!

the sad thing is i don't see this ending anytime soon. i have an opportunity to watch the cubs and royals this year in kc and honestly i might have to pass it up. first time in my life I've ever said that. i really hope we can unload some or all of that dead money.

The cubs need a new owner is the problem.....spending all that money on soriano was the first mistake. I went to the cubs cardinals game a few weeks ago at wrigley and the defensive side of the cubs is just awful

True.

It will happen. I am only waiting. Damn.

I was afraid all my self-prophecy was fulfilled... Apparently, I'm not alone. (I should have known that, being a Cubs fan and all.)

agreed, if castro goes i'm done. i just don't understand why we dont' bring up our young guys and let them play. it's not like we are going to sell out games anymore, we might as well.

It isn't even fun to hate the Cubs, this year. I semi-legitimately feel bad for Cubs fans. As a consolation gift, you can have Adam Dunn.

montanez is 29, this is his first time being in the show, i'm not convinced he's anything more than a fill in guy while the rest of the bums are on the dl.

How bout dem Astros!

You're Cubs fans. Stay drunk and don't pay attention to the game on the field. Wrigley is the attraction.

I could care less about Wrigley. Obviously the stadium hasn't done much good to the teams the Cubs fielded. New ownership, new ballpark, new manager, new general manger and a thank you.

That's my point. Cubs management knows the draw is Wrigley. People are always going to go to a ball park like that, good team or not. Hell, the only time I went was a during a Cubs/Bucs game when both teams were battling for last place...and it was fantastic. Sat in the bleachers and loved every minute.

As long as people keep going, nothing will change.

The Cub's problem is cultural. They have been losing so long that it has became part of their fiber. Even when they field good teams, they find a way to screw themselves (Bartman anyone?). They expect failure. That's something that isnt as simple as firing everyone or getting new ownership, it lies with the fans. No matter how bad the team is, Wrigley is still filled with idiots drinking Old Style. Women looking around aimlessly wearing pink cubs hats. The fans do not hold the Cubs responsible for winning, so now it has became their culture.

On another note, my grandfather watched or listened to every Cubs game for like 50 years. He was a Cardinals fan. He said the next best thing to watching the Cards win, is watching the Cubs lose.

Pujols will not be a Cub, mark it down. He is very astute when it comes to the history of the game. He realizes what the rivalry is and also knows the statistical fact that the Cubs organization is where great players go to die. These are facts.
