I'm afraid for even coming in to this thread. Can any of this be used against me if I am served with a subpoena. Subpoena is a funny word, don't ya think?

Here's one I have been tinkering around with:

"Shock and Awe" at the start of the War in Iraq was not a barrage to start the ground offensive. Rather, it was covering fire for the extraction of covert ops out of the area. In that initial start of the conflict, we snatched up Sadam, his sons, and other key people.

Think about it - when we officially did "find" him, we turned him over to the Iraqis. Why would we immediately turn over one of the most central figures in the Middle East spanning the last 30 years or so? We send in a team, grab him, hold on to him in secret for a year and a half or so while saying we can't find him. Let our interrogation teams have at him at their leisure. When we are done, say we found him in some spider hole in a field and turn him over. Uday and Qsay didn't have as much info, so they turn up much quicker after an alleged "firefight" yet they both have very well placed head shots that took them out.

We have very good extraction teams that have been rehearsing this very scenario since the first Gulf War. Whether it was Delta, CIA, Seals, or whomever, we knew right where he was and as soon as we grab him, "Shock and Awe" comes in to cover the escape and mask any extraction efforts.

Just a thought. Then again, I have no basis for this theory whatsoever. That is, except a very hearty mistrust of what I am told by the government and media.

These same 5-13 guests have been here since the beginning. They monitor for how close we come to the real truth and whether or not one of you crackheads decides to start up a coalition of bud light induced "let's shoot up some socialistic ***!"

uh oh a cover up over a "missile" would that be classified as a conspiracy?

on a side note, I am reading a rather interesting book on conspiracies.

Probably not a "conspiracy", but if a missile did launch accidentally that's some scary ****. During the Cold War, the Soviets had a radar glitch that showed some missiles coming from the US. The no-rank radar operator refused to do his job and report it, because he didn't believe the US would attack. Had he followed the rules, the Soviets would have responded with a nuclear strike.

Excellent find on video evidence...

No way is that an airplane. No way.

I just read an article dismissing the condensation cloud is as that from a jet.

The velocity of the object is unmistakable. It certainly isn't a jet contrail.

I wouldn't say i am an expert in aircrafts and all that. But I have worked on many and seen many in flight from many different angles. In the air, on the ground and in towers, none had that kind of contrail.

Yeah, the government hopes that we that work, have plenty of change. They want all our change.....and dollars

Amen to that!

It is going to get even worse for us here in California with that d-bag Jerry Brown back in office. He is going to tax the crap out of us even further.

Pay attention and take notes. Report back with data on the exact dollar amount of increased state taxes you experience. Oh, and also get back to us with statistics on the reduction or increase in state deficits.

Let us know if you're "forced" to scale back from Ben & Jerry's to the generic version of Cherry Garcia or Guinness to Pabst or "Everything" cable to middle-of-the-pack Dish Network HD.

For the rekindled interest given the Illuminati reference...

I suggest a quick delve into the Georgian Guidestiones as aforementioned in this thread. Oh and how Haarp and Project Blue Beam will be used is fantastic too, the conglomeration of the two I suppose may be on the agenda.

I didn't know if this should go here or in the Instant Netflix thread but I figured since it was a conspiracy. Might as well put it here.

But I am watching the movie Alive! Is Michael Jackson Really Dead? It is pretty interesting and very compelling. It brings up alot of points but anything can be skewed in a way to prove any point. Either way, very interesting.

i have a few conspiracies in mind:

1. the nba (david stern) influences referees to increase viewer ratings. i'm (well....was) a celtic fan and i've been saying it for years.....david stern is a dirt bag for his 'company' men (specific referees) influencing outcomes of games to either win a series or push it to game 7's to boost tv ratings. i'm officially done with the nba til stern retires or dies. i just hope whom ever takes over doesn't keep the crap flowing.

2. barcalona were helped by fifa officiating (and they surely didn't need it) for whatever reason. the officiating in every closely contested matchup was ridiculously biased for barcalona and completely affected the outcomes of crucial matches. much like david sterns referees for the nba.

3. still soccer related....but in the '98 world cup, holland was screwed by poor officiating. granted they lost in pk's to brazil, but the foul ratio was utterly ridiculous (sorry my memory stinks...i want to say it was something 19 fouls called on the dutch compared to 7 called on brazil in the 1st half). not only that, but when cacu went to take his kick, he set the ball down and backed up, waited for the whistle......but the referee was like "oh, you need to replace your ball....it's not completely on the mark". which the ball was on the mark, cacu placed it in the same place as everybody else. as soon as the happened...i told my buddy, he's gonna blow it over the top. sure enough he did, and brazil wins. all the publications leading up to the tournament selected brazil and france for the final. brazil just signed a 200 million dollar contract with nike.....and guess who sponsored france, addidas.
so with the biggest soccer shoe companies in the world....which would garner more ratings? france vs. brazil or france vs. holland? no brainer, but i'm a dutch fan that felt ultimately robbed. cuz that team was the best in the tourament (at least as far as scoring and creative play).

okay, i'm off my soap box.

Well, I didn't want to get involved with this thread, but it's July 21, 100 degrees in Wheeling WV, and national IQ is at a catastrophic minimum. So....

Over many years I've amused myself by studying several of these "mysteries" in a sometimes successful attempt to mitigate boredom [I have almost no interest in the particularly "political" ones though, as they are usually, in the end, no fun and decay into screaming matches if you ever want to talk about any of them]. But some of the other stuff is pretty fascinating.

One thing about "conspiracy": Conspiracy is a "group thing". To have a conspiracy you need to have at least two powerfully important entities who have come together and agreed to either perform a significant action whether that be physical [shooting JFK] or psychological [manipulating the opinion of target groups, usually the public at large]. It always involves deception. This is either flat-out secrecy as to the agenda or perpetrators, or flat-out lying to important individuals, the media, or the public; and often all three.

When you look at "conspiracy" this way, you understand that it is a valuable tool when used by the government in national security situations, and in fact has very often been so used. The movie line, "You have no NEED to know!!", is one part of this useful game. So, people who believe that there are conspiracies are correct --- but they may not be correct about which ones.

An example of a "mystery" that I've studied fairly extensively is the claim that such a thing as the chupacapra exists. This isn't a conspiracy unless you want to see money-hungry media in league with book-selling liars as forming a wink-wink conspiracy. Chupacapras [sadly] simply don't exist. It would be a more interesting world if they did [and I'm all for that], but following up the tales and quality of the evidence, they just don't add up. You have a lot better shot with the British Columbia "sea monster" being real in terms of evidence. [I am, in fact, serious about that statement, and am predisposed to giving these things a full sympathetic study].

On the other hand, if some government agency told you in 1953 that neither the Air Force nor the CIA were taking Unidentified Flying Objects seriously, they would be part of a conspiracy to manipulate public opinion in the name of national security. This is a simple fact, as all the documents from the CIA [and the USAF] are now released and they describe the run-up to a panel of scientists and USAF intelligence operatives as ordered by President Truman and CIA director General Walter B. Smith. The actions were being taken due to psychological warfare issues and completely understandable [though, as usual in these things, somewhat grating to our American ideals of "free speech" etc].

Many other such things are out there---always more interesting if you actually study them rather than listen to the shallow sound byte media opinions. HAARP is an example. It is a legitimate USN [I think] project, which there was some lying about but is mainly technological regarding the electromagnetic environment of the Earth and how that plays into e-m signals and receptions. By lying about the secret project, an internet conspiracy industry formed about the thing. If there is significant e-m field generated by the array, it could affect the local ecology, but will not be used as a death ray.

Anyway, this could go on forever, but I see all the students are already asleep....

I agree 100% that Chupacapras does not exist but from the "stories" I have heard or read. How do you explain a cow or other animal being drained completely of blood? I ask because it seems like you have done more research on these events than me.

Something else I just read about the other day (I spend alot of time at Barnes & Noble) is the belief that the sky has living organisms. A scientist made the theory that the ocean is filled with vast amount of animals, alot still uncovered. So the sky is basically the ocean except, of course, in the sky. He explained that most of the species in the sky are of the jellyfish family. This would explain why you could not see them from the ground because their skin is translucent. He explained alot of other interesting facts, I just found it fascinating because I had never heard this theory until just the other day. Since I was a kid I loved the "unsolved mysteries" and conspiracies. Just found it interesting.

To Military: if you want to get a handle on the apparent mysteries of chupacabra attacks, these things are the latin-american version of the "cattle mutilation" phenomenon which was prominent in the United States in the 1970s. The difference is that the cattle mutes were studied far better [as the loss of a steer is a serious economic issue to a rancher/farmer]. The mystery of the physical effects on mutes was therefore studied by professional veterinarians who gave evidence at state and regional fora set up to address the losses of stock. One of these was even headed by Senator/ Astronaut Harrison Schmitt --- wouldn't be surprised if there was a naming "conspiracy" there with our Harrison.

Many of the effects were rationally accounted for by either predatory behavior [eating the "soft-tissues"// eyes, lips, groin...sorry for the grossness], or the effects of a dead body and the "natural drainage" of fluids away from surface areas much more quickly than we'd think. In a few cases it seemed more likely that a sort of "sampling" had taken place, since the cuts were pretty "surgical". Some situations of cult rituals were suspected, not unreasonably. A private study group, funded by a Las Vegas billionaire [I'm not making this up], found several instances [all studied by quality veterinarians] which looked suspiciously like some organization had killed some stock [without asking] for sampling. If one was either government or bio-chemical industry, one might see why sampling the possible effects on large lifeforms by your air or water-borne pollutants might be good to know, and keep secret.

I'd read about the US mutes if you want to get insight into the Chup physical FX.

And: as to "lifeforms in the sky". Of course there are lifeforms in the sky all the time, some, on the microscopic level, even spending most of their lifecycles there. But you are referring to large lifeforms.

That theory dates back to the late 1950s/early 1960s when an Englishman named Trevor Constable decided that this hypothesis was the answer to the UFO mystery. Drips and drabs of the idea go back further, but if one wants to steer clear or merely "occult" claims, then Constable is the birth-daddy.

In his book he wrote a lot of unconvincing words, trying to bring known witness cases into line with his ideas, but his pride-and-joy were some photos allegedly showing the beasts themselves. These photos look suspiciously like errors of the developing process and are disregarded by analysts as having any meaningful data to add to the study of UFOs.

Most of what I've heard since Constable's time has been re-hash of his ideas, embroidery, or people trying to bring a "spirit" element into this [ex. Fairies et al]. Modern internet stuff trends towards really bad photography in marginal lighting conditions, often productive of more-or-less circular lightforms, almost certainly a product of the technological device being used to photograph "them".

A nice thing about having a hypothesis about things which are "invisible" is that , well , no one's going to demand to see the evidence. In that it is sort of like a lot of the opinions on our board.
