I'm afraid for even coming in to this thread. Can any of this be used against me if I am served with a subpoena. Subpoena is a funny word, don't ya think?
Here's one I have been tinkering around with:
"Shock and Awe" at the start of the War in Iraq was not a barrage to start the ground offensive. Rather, it was covering fire for the extraction of covert ops out of the area. In that initial start of the conflict, we snatched up Sadam, his sons, and other key people.
Think about it - when we officially did "find" him, we turned him over to the Iraqis. Why would we immediately turn over one of the most central figures in the Middle East spanning the last 30 years or so? We send in a team, grab him, hold on to him in secret for a year and a half or so while saying we can't find him. Let our interrogation teams have at him at their leisure. When we are done, say we found him in some spider hole in a field and turn him over. Uday and Qsay didn't have as much info, so they turn up much quicker after an alleged "firefight" yet they both have very well placed head shots that took them out.
We have very good extraction teams that have been rehearsing this very scenario since the first Gulf War. Whether it was Delta, CIA, Seals, or whomever, we knew right where he was and as soon as we grab him, "Shock and Awe" comes in to cover the escape and mask any extraction efforts.
Just a thought. Then again, I have no basis for this theory whatsoever. That is, except a very hearty mistrust of what I am told by the government and media.
