Good Luck!! You, TP, and I will have to get together for a cold adult beverage or two, once you get settled in. I'm in Reynoldsburg, very close to TP.

FYI, should have added... Although I have a GF, she will be living about 11 hours away from me for this lease time. Just wanted to make that clear because I've had roommates in the past where the GF basically lives with the roommate, and that CAN be the worst, lol. I'd be surprised if she visited more than once during this leasing period.

I see you decided to leave the gf behind. Smart move. This will pay dividends later.

Kuehnja, good luck man. Lived here for almost a decade. No real complaints other than the knuckle dragging buck heads. Hilliard isn't a bad area by any means, but I would reccommend upper Arlington, grandview, or Dublin if you want to live near your workplace.

If you live in upper Arlington, make sure you get some kind of private school swag on your car. They're a bit snooty.

Does anyone know of a site to find places to live in the Columbus area besides craigslist?

This craigslisting is a crap shoot.

zillow.com has rentals, too. If you are looking for an apartment, apartments.com is good. rentalhomesplus.com is another.

Columbians,

I know more about scouting than I do Columbus, so I would love some input on possible locations.

My goal is to live with someone for the first 6 months so I can discover Ohio. My job is in Hilliard, Ohio.

Place #1: $650 per month with roommate (roommate seems to be B+). 6 miles from work, nice place, but IDK how close this is to night life. River Park Oaks Dr.

Place #2: About $600 per month, located near 'Victorian Village' whatever the F that is (roommate B+).

Place #3: About $700 per month, no roommate but supposedly in the 'happening part of town' at 2200 North High Street.

Place #4: $500 per month, roommate looks really boring (Damn hippie), but it's 2.5 miles from work and located at 5000 Crescent Dr., Hilliard, OH.

Thoughts?

Place # 2 no doubt. Victorian Village is a nice neighborhood and near good nightlife.

I would think no roommate would be worth 100 extra dollars... anyway, coming from So Cal, good lord it's cheap to live out there!!!!

FYI - 1st place is near 'River Park Oaks Drive'. I forgot to mention that. Good area? Because that had the best pics.

Money's not a big deal, but I prefer to live with someone first so I have at least one contact in Ohio. After that, I'm getting my own place.

And since TP won't let me live with him I'm on the prowl for a roommate who likes to fuck shit up.

You guys have no idea how much that helps. Everyone I talk to says their location rocks simply because they need a subleaser badly.

Well the #2 option wouldn't be lying. I read the other day about how a house rarely lasts a week on the market down there.

Plus that Victorian Village location will likely be near that dog park I told you about
