I just want to know the mode with the least bugs right now. I gave up on rtg because no matter how high on the depth chart I got. I got no actual snaps in the games. Sorry, I got to play in 1 game for 1 snap. And wtf is with the auto generated coach names?

Just now purchasing after getting online. Anyone able to tell me why it won’t let me download and install the game right now? It’s acting like I have to wait 2 days. Is everyone playing it now playing because they preordered it? Thanks for any help

If you bought the standard version you can’t play till Friday. Deluxe edition you get 3 days early access.

From the sounds of the glitches at launch, maybe I’ll be glad to not get to play until Friday.

EA wasn’t gonna pay the players AND the coaches lol

Someone said they did a whole RTG and graduated without playing a snap lol

If anybody wants the game early but doesn't want to buy the expensive version you can sign up for a month of EA Play. Their subscription plan. You will be able to download a free trial of the game right away. Then when you buy the game on Friday through EA Play you get 10% off. So it ends up being like $2 cheaper lol.

I think it is harder, and you need to be more strategic about who you target and such. Will probably figure it out in year 2 or 3 of dynasty, but over halfway through my first season I'm on part to maybe only sign 15-18 guys

I’m not getting my coach by points when leveling up after a week, anyone else notice this? I’ve had it happen twice during my OC season at Toledo.

i just went to playstation store on my PS5 and purchased the $99 deluxe edition and is downloading now with a few hrs to go until dowload is complete, wanted the MVP version but wasn't paying the insane price they wanted for it as the $99 price was crazy enough

Just played my first game. Kept it on Varsity at start up because I was worried about having not played in forever and the new game mechanics. Beat Navy 28-0. I threw no picks and actually housed a pick at the end of the game with Ben Mo.

Things that threw me off:
  • Camera angles. I did not like being behind their quarterback when I'm on defense so I used the lock on feature with the Mike nearly every play. I also think you'll be punished more in this version than in past if you don't have the right type of personnel on the field to handle what the opposing team likes to do. I ran 46 against Navy most the game to just plug gaps. They only had one significant run and it was because I missed the FB in the hole.
  • Strafe being L2 and not being able to call pass or run presnap.
  • Speed necessary to call plays in a totally unfamiliar playbook. I got a delay of game on my first play. (Keeping it realistic. HA)
  • Kicking the ball by holding down X after lining it up. I never punted so I am not sure how that would have felt either. But definitely just odd.
  • Throwing I found myself completing better balls by reaching the yellow threshold with Leonard than just softly passing it in the blue. Getting the ball down field on a throw definitely has to be set up well before you do it and even then I had a Navy corner stick to Kris Mitchell like glue when I had him beat the safety over the top.

The new throwing mechanic feels clunky to me. I switched back to the classic passing.

Kicking is a lot harder. Which is good IMO. It's not realistic for college kickers to be consistently nailing 55 yarders.

Somehow they actually made running the ball really fun. I've never really tried to run the ball in any football games I've played, but I've found myself actually having a pretty balanced attack so far in this game. Part of that is passing being much more difficult, but also running is just fun now.

The team builder is fantastic. I can't wait to use it more. Looking at some of the submissions so far it's going to be really fun to create a league of all the smaller school teams people have already created. Only thing I wish it included was some sort of rudimentary stadium builder.

Maybe its just me (haven't gone through the thread in detail), but I think they need to tone down AA difficulty. Every DB is prime Revis and I need to basically resort to a JJ McCarthy offense to have any chance. It's not that fun.

I also hate the new read option controls... they flipped it from every football video game ever made and I can't mentally get the hang of it.

Overall I like the game but there are a few things that make me wonder if the development team wasnt communicating with each other. For example, they've created and emphasized in their marketing a "wear and tear" system that tells you that your starters are getting tired/more likely to be injured... but they've totally neglected any way to sub that player out unless you pause the game, go to the coaching menu, go to the roster submenu, click through your roster to find the player, and then remove them from the game. And if you want to sub them back in, you have to go back and do all that again.

Also they've removed an option that used to be present in every other NCAA game that would allow you to make mass substitutions once a game was out of hand. That's such a baffling omission in a game that is actively shoving it's fatigue system in your face.
