I have been and always will be a battered wife when it comes to this franchise. "I will not buy the new version. I will not buy the new version. I will not buy the new version until they release patches and reviews come out. I will not buy the new version until they release patches and reviews come out.... I swear it's different this year! I'm buying it at release because they PROMISED me it was going to be different."

I'm happy it didn't come out on PC because my nostalgia for old NCAA hasn't been warped at all. I can't be hurt by new iterations of the game if I won't play it.

Nothing will bring me the joy a handful of games did (NCAA 10, Joint Operations, COD2, Red Orchestra 2, and Morrowind). I can't chase that high again.

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

As someone who played NCAA 14 up until NCAA 25 came out, NCAA 26 in particular is objectively better than NCAA 14 and worth the price.

25 is mainly a gameplay and visuals update. But 26 Dynasty mode (assume that’s what we’re mainly talking about) is just worlds better than anything NCAA 14 or older ever released.

Honestly, the heyday (in terms of dynasty depth) was the pre-PS3 release games when talking about the old series. They sincerely watered a lot down starting with 08 citing....reasons.

I do think 26 is definitely an upgrade over 25. I just think the way dynasty was run 20 years ago was a much more in depth, cohesive structure. I'm hoping they build on 26 with 27.

I know myself better than to think that if they release it, I won't buy it lmao. I thought the gameplay in 25 was better than 26 (my 90 OVR WR should not be struggling to get open against bums) but the dynasty was definitely better in 26. Sounds like from the leaks so far that 27 is looking real nice. adding a NIL mechanic and bringing the gameplay more in line with 25.

‘25 definitely has a more electric, arcade like game play. IMO purposefully. Like they cranked that shit up what a WR with 95 speed and takeoff can do to get people excited to be back

The only flaw 06 had was the cover athlete. It was basically a perfect cfb game. I could take Tennessee Tech and get them into D1 and eventually the SEC and the ESPN branding was just right for the time. I think that year also had the absurd road to glory thing where your girlfriend would get hotter as you got better at football over the years, though that may have been 07.

Yup, I get them wanting to make it fair between lower skill/high skill in 26 but JLove shouldnt be getting caught by a linebacker. Love was a cheat code in 25, as he is in reality.

And those PS2 versions had the infraction system.

Now that's progression I need in a video game! Gotta upgrade from those uggos to the trophy wife (PS2 pixelated of course)
