I have been and always will be a battered wife when it comes to this franchise. "I will not buy the new version. I will not buy the new version. I will not buy the new version until they release patches and reviews come out. I will not buy the new version until they release patches and reviews come out.... I swear it's different this year! I'm buying it at release because they PROMISED me it was going to be different."

I'm happy it didn't come out on PC because my nostalgia for old NCAA hasn't been warped at all. I can't be hurt by new iterations of the game if I won't play it.

Nothing will bring me the joy a handful of games did (NCAA 10, Joint Operations, COD2, Red Orchestra 2, and Morrowind). I can't chase that high again.

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

As someone who played NCAA 14 up until NCAA 25 came out, NCAA 26 in particular is objectively better than NCAA 14 and worth the price.

25 is mainly a gameplay and visuals update. But 26 Dynasty mode (assume that’s what we’re mainly talking about) is just worlds better than anything NCAA 14 or older ever released.

Honestly, the heyday (in terms of dynasty depth) was the pre-PS3 release games when talking about the old series. They sincerely watered a lot down starting with 08 citing....reasons.

I do think 26 is definitely an upgrade over 25. I just think the way dynasty was run 20 years ago was a much more in depth, cohesive structure. I'm hoping they build on 26 with 27.

I know myself better than to think that if they release it, I won't buy it lmao. I thought the gameplay in 25 was better than 26 (my 90 OVR WR should not be struggling to get open against bums) but the dynasty was definitely better in 26. Sounds like from the leaks so far that 27 is looking real nice. adding a NIL mechanic and bringing the gameplay more in line with 25.

‘25 definitely has a more electric, arcade like game play. IMO purposefully. Like they cranked that shit up what a WR with 95 speed and takeoff can do to get people excited to be back

The only flaw 06 had was the cover athlete. It was basically a perfect cfb game. I could take Tennessee Tech and get them into D1 and eventually the SEC and the ESPN branding was just right for the time. I think that year also had the absurd road to glory thing where your girlfriend would get hotter as you got better at football over the years, though that may have been 07.

Yup, I get them wanting to make it fair between lower skill/high skill in 26 but JLove shouldnt be getting caught by a linebacker. Love was a cheat code in 25, as he is in reality.

And those PS2 versions had the infraction system.

Now that's progression I need in a video game! Gotta upgrade from those uggos to the trophy wife (PS2 pixelated of course)

The trailer for the new 2027 game is out. Jason Onye makes a "blink and you miss it" appearance at around 1:11. Leonard Moore shows up at the end.

Updates for 27 are pretty crazy if they nailed it. Some might be lipstick on current features but some really promising stuff in there

I really, really hope we get IU in the playoff and embarrass them again.

Ive got a busy playing beta version right now and he said its really good

Nice, let us know how it goes.

I heard rumors that they've added back custom stadium sounds to the game among a number of other things. If that's the case, I might be sold. I've got my flash drive with a shit ton of ND band stuff and crowd cheers from ND gamedays, not to mention some other stuff for smaller programs I used to play like Texas State.

I don't see it mentioned at all and it's probably because we were all too distracted by cig. But the game is coming to PC finally!

Oh man...I don't mind playing on my PS5, but I'm at my computer way more and it plays games with better resolution/graphics. Not only that, but I don't have to worry about keeping an old console around if they stop making the game again, if you buy it on PC it's basically available forever. I was probably getting '27 already, but add in the fact it'll be on a deep Steam discount at some point? Win/win.

I gave my ps5 to my buddy because the only game I really played on it was NCAA 25. I regretted it for a little bit but couldn't be happier with the decision now.

And like every body else I hate subscriptions but this being available on the EA access one along with FIFA and Madden I might end up going that route

It's a digital download on PC - no? If so it is definitely not "basically available forever."

Steam hasn't lost any steam in recent years, pun intended. If the game is purchasable on that platform I would wager it'll be available for longer than most people will own a PS5.

Also, let's be real, by the time Steam dissappears or goes under (would be difficult seeing that realistically happening faster than 15 years from now even if everything goes wrong somehow), pirating a decade+ old sports game on your PC will be trivial.

Those people don't really care anyway....as I sit here with Bill Walsh's College Football on the Genesis and All-American College Football running on my 486 - neither requiring an internet connection.

I know what you mean. I built a Raspberry Pi with 20+ systems loaded on it and 20,000 games, and yet I can't seem to let go of my 600+ cart NES collection
