I would not be surprised to see him back on the staff next year. Too many connections. Rees apparently liked him, he coached Stuckey one year with the Cardinals, and he played with Golden at Penn State. Plus, the NCAA may allow analysts to coach during practices next year. If that's the case, he's pretty useful given he has coached QBs, WRs, and TEs.What type of bag did McNulty secure for 11 months on the job? Wouldn’t be surprised if he just retired or did the analyst gig either.
He probably was as shocked as anyone he was offered a OC job, had to take it
Tommy just sent him there to fuck with Phil for a season. What type of bag did McNulty secure for 11 months on the job? Wouldn’t be surprised if he just retired or did the analyst gig either.

So Bobby Petrino as OC and DJ Durkin as DC for TAMU.
Zero shame whatsoever. I truly hope that Notre Dame NEVER becomes like this for as long as I draw breath on this Earth.
His hairExcuse my ignorance, but why is Pete nicknamed The Poodle?
People forget he spent ten years coaching in the League as an assistant before he went to Stanford. Then while at Stanford, his name came up every so often in the NFL coaching carousel rumor mill each year. His father coached in the League for 20+ years with multiple teams.

Depends who he hires. I assume it would be Pep Hamilton, who was just Lovie's OC with the Texans. LOLShaw seems like his floor is Lovie Smith, who was respected enough to be given a third chance just last year. He’d command the respect of an NFL locker room, but I’m not certain his offenses would be all that great.

Lovie and Cully before him were only hired because the Texans were intent on tanking, both overachieved and both were fired after 1 season each. Interesting takes.Lovie and Cully before him were only hired because the Texans were intent on tanking, both overachieved and both were fired after 1 season each. Tokenism by the NFL at its finest
That would be bad lolDepends who he hires. I assume it would be Pep Hamilton, who was just Lovie's OC with the Texans. LOL
Owner, GM and their former pastor guy they have running things are all dipshits. Its the worst run team in the league.Interesting takes.
Cully's only season landed the third pick. Lovie's only season got the second pick, and to his credit, he knew he was getting fired and coached his ass off to win that last game which is nothing if not hilarious. Maybe they did overachieve due to the incompetence of the front office.
Is there any chance that Texans GM Nick Caserio is just an ass clown? He was the Director of Player Personnel for the Patriots for years in name only because Belichick ultimately had the final say on the roster. Very possible this is just another apple to fall off of the New England tree that isn't going to amount to having success outside of that organization upon leaving.
He's officially on the hot seat now. Can't mess around forever. He's got the DeShaun Watson picks on top of back to back Top 3 picks too. He could prove to be a complete chooch, and I bet he does.
You mean Second Chances? Yes a good Catholic University should only hire based on prima-facial moral and upstanding resumes.
The Commanders may have something to say about that, but HOU is up there.Owner, GM and their former pastor guy they have running things are all dipshits. Its the worst run team in the league.
they didn't hire either to succeed. Thats the point. The Commanders may have something to say about that, but HOU is up there.
I'd say ineptitude over "tokenism". Cully had been a coach in the NFL for over 20 years. He finally gets a head coaching gig and gets fired after a year. Caserio said Cully was let go because of "philosophical differences over the long-term direction and vision for our program moving forward."
That probably gets vetted during the hiring process one year before right?
So he promotes Lovie Smith, who Cully hired as his DC, and fires him after one year.
I would say Cully was worthy of a hire, Lovie was on his third NFL HC gig and they probably could have done better, but they're showing some serious signs of not knowing what they're doing. This next hire should be very interesting.
Neither of them did. It's a franchise run by stupid people.they didn't hire either to succeed. Thats the point.
His brother’s brisket tells me that is a family that has separated themselves from God. So I doubt he’s baptized

If I had a nickel for every time I heard this over the years. That is not great for us. Damn a real hire and not just another promotion
This one is worth keeping tabs on.Mississippi State is expected to hire Appalachian State offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay as play-caller, a source tells 247Sports.
