But they fired mark parent. Getting rid of the bench coach = world series next year.

Nope. Not even f'ing close. I admire the fact that you're a total homer and love your team but to say that the 2015 White Sox had as much or more talent than the 2015 Cubs is just dumb.

It's not dumb, it's very possibly true. Not saying the White Sox are better than the Cubs (clearly they are not), but look at the roster and tell me they aren't loaded with talent. It makes me sick.

Even though shark bombed, their rotation stacks up pretty well against just about anyone. Three lefties of that caliber is a good problem to have.

They're not going to do anything until Kenny moves on. JR is loyal to a fault.

Um yeah. I'm sorry, but there was guys on this team that played well under their capability. The Cubs were seen as good or slightly less talented than the White Sox going into the season. That's what good managing does for a team.

Chris Sale, Jose Abreu, Jose Quintana, Melky Cabrera, Avi Garcia, Jeff Samardzija, Carlos Rodon, there's quite a bit of talent on this squad.

That's where good managing can improve a teams chances of success (Cubs), and where bad managing can drastically hurt a teams chances (Sox).

There's a big reason why experts were picking the White Sox. Chemistry was an issue, but Ventura made so many grievous managing mistakes and overall was just an awful in-game and locker room manager. Nobody in that locker room bought into Ventura, because he's a horrible motivator and crappy manager. What's there to buy into? Madden on the other hand, has a history of turning a crappy team into a consistent playoff contender. Sound familiar?

The fact that he's coming back for another year after 3 losing seasons is just sickening.

Delusional. Cubs have more talent on their infield than the Sox have in the entire system. Sale, Quintana, Rodon, and Abreu are the only salvageable parts

the Northsiders are the best organization in Chicago right now and it really isn't even close.

Best baseball operation. They are 5 years and 3 trophies behind the best organization in town.

That's a bit of a stretch. The Sox system isn't completely devoid of talent. If you add in pitching talent and positional players, I'd say the Sox have 7-8 guys that will be major league talents in the coming years. Now, their star power individually can't match the Cubs infield, but to act like there is no young talent in the Sox system is false.

Man, Cubs fans finally have something to be proud of and they go on the offensive, lopping off anyone's head who thinks their team has as much talent as them.

From a Sox fan...

The difference in the talent is the Cubs have a sh!t load of cheap, young talent. Which is why they will sign Price, tweak the bullpen and maybe even add another starter to slot ahead of Hendricks by letting Haren go and trading away Hammels. They were talking on LA radio about how the Cubs could do just that and sign Greinke too. Cheap young talent makes it mathematically possible.

Arrieta, Greinke, Price, Lester? Just mail them the trophy and spend the summer golfing.

I'm not a White Sox hater by any means, heck I even pull for them when they are playing anyone but the Cubs but to say that the Sox clearly have more talent is asinine. Granted I agree it isn't a monumental gap in the talent between the two teams and Maddon is a great manager but no manager in the world is worth 21 wins. The Sox this year are the equivalent of the Cubs last season with Jim Hendry.

There definitely is little to no gap in terms of talent. Cubs have more home grown talent, which garners more chemistry and they have a much better manager. That most definitely yields 21 extra wins. The Sox have plenty of talent, but so many moving parts and from what I've seen over the last 4 years, a brutally incompetent manager, that infuriatingly has kept his job. Given this, I am no longer setting expectations. I am making demands. Granted this is after about 6 drinks, so don't take it at face value. I am demanding a playoff appearance AND victory and anything short of this will result in Ventura, Hahn and Kenny resigning on top of Reinsdorf selling the team. I don't care if that means they move to Vegas. Sell them to someone who's willing to turn them into a winning franchise. Not one who will fail to make the playoffs 8 years straight.

The dropped third strike game was 10 years ago on the 12th. Craziest ending of a game I had been to until a couple days later when I went to the Bush Push game. At least I got to listen to Sweaty Freddy's complete game on the drive home. How have ten years past already?

That team will never get the credit it deserves. It had leadership, chemistry, determination, intelligence and heart. That's what made this year's team so hated and disgraceful to me (same with the Bears of 2014). They had NONE of those qualities. They will led by a total pushover with no savvy veterans or vocal leaders, showed no on-field or off-field cohesion whatsoever, they gave up in games all the freakin' time and they just went through the motions. No heart whatsoever.

El duque's appearance in Boston. 11-1 playoff run. 4 complete games in a row. They get zero respect. They were a damn good team.

Hernandez getting out of a bases loaded no out jam against the BoSox was epic.

But the play of the year was Urbie diving into the stands for the second out of the 9th against Houston in game 4.

El Duque's reaction after the third out is forever burned into my brain.

Nice pick up today.

The pick up was nice. The give up was rough for me. Trayce Thompson and Micah Johnson were 2 of my favorite players. Trayce because he's gonna be a very good player, Micah because he played for my buddy in college. First Shark, now this.

Frazier better not pull the standard... Go to the Sox and bat .219 while hitting half as many HR's as I used to... white slugger move.

Well, I still have Abreu and Sale.

I had no idea he's only 29! There's hope!
Of course there's hope. Frazier at third and Lawrie at second fill two huge holes. However, we still have Avi in right. Puke. I hate losing Thompson, but we haven't had a legit 3b in a long time.

Good move for the white Sox. Even if they keep Adam now you can put him in between your 2 righty sluggers.

That was...painful. I don't know who's bright idea it was to let Carroll pitch, but...WOW. The most pathetic and disgraceful collapse I've seen from a bullpen in recent memory.

I may not be welcome here, but how epic would a Chi town World Series be!?

Off the hook I'd think.

I see the Sox beating the Cubs this year in the WS and the Cubs winning the next 2 in a row.

Fine by me.
