He's bad gravy. Crashed out of Chicago and his brief stint with the Marlins was a disaster.Against my better judgment, I think this office does make the right move and go with Espada.
Hiring one manager who hadn't managed in a decade was bad, but hiring another manager who hadn't managed in a decade is psychotically negligent. There's a reason why nobody has jumped to nab Ozzie over 10 years.
Another name I’ve heard gaining some steam is Kevin Long, from Philly. I like him a lot but don’t know that he’s been formally interviewed. He's bad gravy. Crashed out of Chicago and his brief stint with the Marlins was a disaster.
My only hope is this is taking too long because Espada is still active in the World Series and as soon as Houston is done playing, an announcement will come.
It's just taking too long for Jerry to fuck it up.
He has been interviewed twice so farAnother name I’ve heard gaining some steam is Kevin Long, from Philly. I like him a lot but don’t know that he’s been formally interviewed.
He is my top choice to be honestYeah, I've just started seeing his name come up. He won WS with NYY in 2009 and the Nats in 2019. He could get a third this year.
Very interesting.
I like this option based on the seemingly obvious paths he's been on.Yeah, I've just started seeing his name come up. He won WS with NYY in 2009 and the Nats in 2019. He could get a third this year.

Very off the subject. Same town, different sports and different franchises entirely.I like this option based on the seemingly obvious paths he's been on.
But, kind of off subject, the Blackhawks have been at best hideous over the past few years... new GM, new coach, fresh new young talent and now they look like a playoff team. So there's hope for the Sox...unless its ozzie or someone else from the past.
I hope this is the case.I think Espada is a done deal honestly. We won't know who it is until November 6 the latest.
It’s meant to be about concepts. DaBulls need to step out of their comfort zones, rebuild the front office as well as start bringing up some of the young talent. New attitudes will bring better results vs complacency.Very off the subject. Same town, different sports and different franchises entirely.
The hope for the White Sox lies in Jerry doing what he did with the Bulls: getting the fuck outta the way and letting people who know what they're doing run the ship, not the same old people who rely on him for employment.
I have started to wonder if Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn are employable by anyone else. Both have been Jerry's boys for their entire careers. Who else would hire either one and why?
They just did that. It’s meant to be about concepts. DaBulls need to step out of their comfort zones, rebuild the front office as well as start bringing up some of the young talent. New attitudes will bring better results vs complacency.
I recently read that Elvis Andrus may be back at second base next year. He may be the best option because the free agent pool is extremely bad for 2nd basemen. But they may also look to bring someone up and hope for the best.
And apparently, the manager announcement should come any day...
If it was ozzie they would have announced already I'm guessing longIt's down to Ozzie and Kevin Long.
I think it's obvious what they're going to do.
If they're announcing any day, it's going to be Ozzie. Long has at least three more games left to play, possibly more.If it was ozzie they would have announced already I'm guessing long
I wonder if they said no to Espada, or if Espada said no to them.If they're announcing any day, it's going to be Ozzie. Long has at least three more games left to play, possibly more.
I'm more than prepared for them to name Ozzie the manager. Again.
When it fails, get Jeff Torborg and Gene Lamont on standby.
He has interviewed for a lot of jobs over the years and doesn't have one yet. I'm wondering if it is because Eric Bienemy did a bad thing twenty years ago or something.I wonder if they said no to Espada, or if Espada said no to them.
