It'll be interesting to see who ends up in the OF with Jimenez and Robert.

Hopefully for their sake they have some interesting problems in the next couple of years.

Adolfo, Basabe, Rutherford, Walker and Gonzalez are all in this system. They are all in or right around Top 10 prospects in the organization.

Tim Anderson X Rays were negative. MRI today.

This team is doing all the right things but key members of this rebuild are finding themselves injured. Dumb bad luck more than anything.

So fun to watch, though.

They are getting some good play at SS and 2B throughout the minors as well.. Someones gonna have to go to make room for Madrigal. The way he is playing he will be in Charlotte with Robert in no time, which means big league club 2020

Madrigal is probably slotted for 2B. What a hitter.

FanGraphs has the White Sox at 11.2 WAR. The only teams lower are Marlins, Tigers and Orioles. Considering that and their record after yesterday's come back vs Boston, you have the makings of something here.

This is all starting to come around sooner than expected. Still three months to go but you should have to like where this club is with a AAAA rotation, injuries galore and

Pleasantly surprised with the season so far. Hope Timmy's ankle doesn't linger as they tend to do, he's been fun to watch this year. I just wish they had signed Gio instead of the failed Santana and Nova experiments. They'd really be ahead of schedule if they had a rotation outside of Giolito. I can't wait to see Robert and madrigal continue to move up throughout the rest of the season.

They have three starting pitchers and a bunch of kids with a -65 run differential and they're hovering close to .500

It's crazy. With a Replacement Level Rotation they're over .500 for certain.

Most of these guys won't be there when this team contends for a Central. Some who are starters will be on the bench. It's crazy.

It would be nice to see the Sox bring up some of these minor league guys that have been starters for awhile and give them a shot.. Yes I know Cease is the future but what about Guerrero, Detwiler, should have given Stephens a shot. Forget all these recycled ex MLBers.. It can't possibly be worse than Santana, Despainge, Nova etc.

Guerrero has been obliterated in Triple A. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=t494&player_id=622218#/career/R/pitching/2019/ALL

Other than Cease, it doesn't look like they have much down there. Spencer Adams? Stephens was pretty bad, though I don't know that he'd be worse than the rest they've used so far.

They have a lot of money to spend this winter. They need to build a rotation around Giolito, Cease and a healthy Kopech. No clue how you can rely on Rodon. Lopez needs fixing.

They'll have to go all in on Cole but so will everyone else, and their chairman doesn't exactly splash cash.

Thank God.. Couldn't wait to see this.. They have some moves to make.. Need a starter for tomorrow.. TA is going to IL i bet, and Yonder dropped.. Im guessing Skole or Palka up, as well as maybe Goins.

Palka is up now.

I admire their efforts in going after Machado this winter, but Alonso was a constant reminder of that falling short and he was terrible at that.

Ill be there on Weds for his start.. Been lucky enough to go to everyone of our highly touted prospects first starts at home from Anderson, Lopez, Gio, Moncada, Eloy, Kopech, Zavala so far.

Moncada on an absolute Terror right now.

Calling it a day at 11a to watch Cease. I'll be at a Cub heavy Chicago bar with my "Paulie" jersey on. Here in Scottsdale, that's good for 3-4 beers as there's always a few guys that want to tell me about the time they struck him out at Chaparral . . .

Cease debut, Aberu bobblehead doll giveaway, $1 hot dogs. That's a solid slate for a Wednesday day game. That's a sellout on a weekend even for the White Sox.

Giolito and Cease are complete analytics nerds. It's pretty cool. They are not your typical "baseball guys" when it comes to a lot of things. That being said, don't let Don Cooper near them.

Cease looked good after he settled down from the first.. Nerves were going. It was nice to be at the game and everyone amped up on a 1st inning 2 strike count. It was also hot as hell, and he went with black tops, with a black long sleeve. That ball was cooking.

I don't know if you could tell on TV, but man his fastball looks effortless. He was hitting 97-99 consistently yesterday and it looked like ease. Good things ahead.

I think Sox need to go after Gerritt Cole hard this offseason he is a guy who is solid and is reliable 200 innings a year. A rotation of Cole, Cease, Giolito, kopech, and either Rodon/Lopez should be playoff worthy. Once Luis Robert is brought up you’ll be seeing more fireworks

Going after Cole has been documented as a priority for the Sox.

This was a critical 23 game stretch for the Sox (22 after the rainout).

For them to go .500 down this stretch against far and away the toughest stretch of the season with series against the Cubs (two 2 gamers), Yankees (4 game), Red Sox, Rangers, Twins and Tigers is extremely impressive for a team that is still very young and has nothing close to resembling a stable rotation.

At the break 42-44. Nothing special but considering how much talent that has yet to take the field for the Sox (Cease just getting started, Kopech, Robert, Madrigal, eventually Vaughn and a key FA pitcher like Cole), this is exceeding expectations.

Have to remember the Cubs were in a lot worse shape in 2014 prior to competing. Going from 73 wins to 97. The progress may be slow, but the worm turns in a flash.

Rays need a right handed bat badly. If they came calling for Jose Abreu, would Rick Hahn pull the trigger? Tampa doesn't seem to have very many young controllable arms in their system. A lot of position players. The White Sox would probably want any young arms they can find.

Colome would be a great fit for any number of teams, particularly several in the NL where the wild card race is a traffic jam. Red Sox and Twins could also prove to be good trade partners for him. That one seems obvious, but Abreu is the real question.

Abreu has made it clear he wants to be a part of the White Sox future. His bat has some value, however.

Jeez, this is not the start of the 2nd half of the season I wanted to see.

2 absolutely terrible games in a row. Timmy can't come back soon enough either.
