My issue with drafting Caleb at 1.1 is that the Bears have a ton of problems and they wouldn't be putting him a position to succeed. If they draft Caleb AND manage to protect him up front AND provide him weapons, I'll feel much differently. I also have taken issue with his attitude. It has nothing to do with SC. Caleb, much of last season, but in previous seasons as well, has shown to be a very soft-minded person. He doesn't strike me as a leader or a professional. He strikes me as an every day entitled child who just happens to also be good at football. To me, that doesn't scream Super Bowl champion, imo.

With that said, I'm fully prepared to be proven wrong. The Bears are going to do what they feel is best. As a fan, I'm just along for the ride anyways.

100% - This is not a binary "best QB" discussion in a vacuum. Williams with lesser tools around him or Fields/Rd2-3 QB with better tools around him. Maybe they can get there with Odunze at 9, OL upgrade with whatever they get for Fields.

I think Odunze worked his way up. If he's there at 9, you have to take him. I don't think he's going before Harrison, but he's probably going before Nabers.

Odunze or Nabers at 9 is very good value.

There is a major element that involves doing the work yourself and putting the time in to get better. People believe God just gives people this talent and they don't have to do anything but show up. Not so. For whatever reason, based on assumptions I'm still not quite clear on, individuals on this board and elsewhere think that Caleb Williams doesn't do the work nor will he put in the work. I don't know what specific examples people have other than his manicures and hugging him mom one time. They might be right. If Williams displays anything to the Bears that would lead them to believe he's not going to do the work, then take a hard pass. Nothing anyone who matters says to this point raises red flags that he's not dedicated to football.

Very worried about taking CW. I see a bust coming due to his penchant to whine. I’d keep Fields and build this team at all the need positions. Fields keeps improving and could be a SB QB. If Bears trade him, he’ll go somewhere and be a pro bowler next year.
