I just have this feeling that Daniels is the next great one.
I'd take him over Fingernails and Maye.

Can't say that I don't disagree. At least him and maye didn't regress this year, or go cry on the sidelines in mommy's arms either. Williams is a jumped up turd in Rileys offense that'll stink up the joint like Mayfield and Murray in the NFL

I don't think Caleb Williams is going to be Kyler Murray.

I Don't think he's going to be Patrick Mahomes either.

Reading a thread on r/ChiBears, there's a guy who outlined the whole background and a bit of the process saying that this was expected, not because the County was in the right but because it's how business operates in Cook County. He expects the Bears to win a court case and get a tax break post-facto, but that it'll take years down the line.

Reading the details about this, it doesn't really seem like either "side" is truly in the right and that the assessed value should be somewhere in the middle. Alas, I am but a layman so I could be in the wrong but this isn't the typical "NFL team holds local area hostage until they give billions in tax breaks and funds the construction."

Expected but still, Eddie was legit seen as a DPOY candidate back in 2018. Whitehair was a damn good OL player even if he only received the one Pro Bowl. Father Time is unbeaten, and I hope Poles brings in some studs to replace the former studs.

Can't help but laugh

Stats like this get bandied out a lot but football has high turnover in that timeframe. It wouldn't surprise me to see quite a few teams with that or a similar stat. It's really a reminder that nobody should ever fault players for getting that bag.

I had to look back thinking there should at least be someone from the 2019 draft class but then I remembered A) it was the aftermath of the Mitch trade B) outside of Monty they had no real contributors

I thought the valuation was the sticking point and not the tax rate anyways?
According to the article, it seems like this would only apply to 2023?

The Bears are trying to get a tax cut on top of the valuation (vacate land vs commercial property) but the Board of Review is keeping it as a commercial property (25% vs 10%) stating that the grandstands weren't demolished until December.

Let them decide. The fact that he doesn't care what other people think is exactly what they are going to need. The franchise QB history speaks for itself and is widely known. This particular brass has nothing to do with that to this point. If everyone is intent on breaking the cycle and are on the same page, let the haters hate. I want to see another Super Bowl again.

Odunze might not last until 9th now, but get the pieces in place around a franchise QB and get to work.

Because he wore an SC uniform?
Not at all....just don't see all the hype surrounding him. Honestly not impressed with any of the qbs this year but based simply on producing the last 2 years I'd take daniels first, maye second and Fingernails 3rd. Trade the damn pick, get more picks and roll with fields for another year since they're probably not going to get jack shit for him anyway.
